How dumb can they be ?

  • Kamala Harris is the top choice of Democrat voters to be the party’s nominee for the 2028 presidential election, with 41 per cent support in a recent poll.

  • Other top contenders for the Democratic nomination in 2028 include Gavin Newsom, Josh Shapiro, and Pete Buttigieg, who received 8, 7, and 6 per cent support respectively.

  • Despite her loss in the 2024 election, some in the Democratic party believe Kamala Harris would be well-positioned to run again in 2028 due to her wide base of donors and support among congressional Democrats.

You're absolutely right, my dear Jingthing.

Maybe the country will become some sort of oligarchic theocracy...(?)

Would be scary but also kind of mesmerizing to watch.

Let’s hope so!

More likely to find her on the dinner theater circuit.

Did you know as a teenager in Montreal she was a theater kid?

I'm saddened by it but I guess we get the government we deserve.

So the candidate of the party that loses the election with less'n 50% of the vote, is now only wanted by 'bout 40% of their own voters?

That translates to a measly 20% of the electorate!

There ya go, ironclad proof that Trump lies.

Didn't he say "there'll be so much winning, that we'll get tired of all the winning"?  Well, I'm not tired yet.

I have to agree that does sound dumb.

Generally, democrats do NOT run losing presidential candidates.

One and you're done.

I suspect that poll just reflects name recognition at this point.

Sadly, I also think the democrats will shy away from nominating any woman again, as twice burned.

The more important question is assuming hopefully that we have real elections for the midterms, whether 2028 will be a real election or will the Trump dictatorship machine have turned US elections into just for show like in Hungary and Russia. There is zero doubt that the US democracy has rapidly degraded but will that process be near complete or not by 2028?

Michelle I guess would be the only woman who could run and win given the other options who failed. She got what it takes to win people over to her side, and who knows, I think she could have beaten Trump to in the previous elextion. No matter what hardcore republicans think of Obama and her, she would managed to give hope to everyone lost at the middle ground.

Kamala doesnt have any appeal to the people at all, she is just not likeable or trustworthy how she tried to play Trumps game, and suits best as a judge,

Totalitarianism, that's what it is.

Human beings are mostly deluded about their reality.

The govt is a (for the most part) benign system of control (not as democratic as it claims to be, but still mostly benign.

For now, anyway. It can in the future descend into an evil dictatorship, but your complaints are laughable about the current state of affairs.

Anyone who gets a decent education and works decently hard has a good to very high standard of living.

Most people who struggle have drug issues or are extremely lazy.

Most people screw up their own lives through their own mistakes.

Like I did for a while. I don't blame govts for my bad times.

As Elon Musk pointed out, a cell phone is a supercomputer in your pocket, but people don't appreciate the advances that society has made and enabled this tech to be available so cheaply.

As one example of how people are deluded about their reality. THEY put cheap computers in your pocket and you're still complaining that they're an evil dictatorship.

People don't appreciate much.

One reason relationships fail as well. People start taking their partners for granted, etc ...

Govt can't help you unless you screw your head on straight first.

This endless bickering about political candidates is nonsense.

A good explanation might be Americans mental health status, and why do Americans have such bad mental health? Richest country in the world?

People can struggle with many issues, not only drugs and lazyness.

A couple of random sources

Adult Prevalence of Mental Illness (AMI) 202219.86% of adults are experiencing a mental illness. Equivalent to nearly 50 million Americans. 4.91% are experiencing a severe mental illness. The state prevalence of adult mental illness ranges from 16.37% in New Jersey to 26.86% in Utah.

https://mhanational.org/issues/2022/mental-health-america-adult-data

What percentage of the US population has mental health issues?

Millions of people are affected by mental illness each year. Across the country, many people just like you work, perform, create, compete, laugh, love and inspire every day. 22.8% of U.S. adults experienced mental illness in 2021 (57.8 million people). This represents 1 in 5 adults.

It is estimated that more than one in five U.S. adults live with a mental illness (59.3 million in 2022; 23.1% of the U.S. adult population). Mental illnesses ...

You got the government the vast majority of the American people voted for. It's called democracy and yes you really really deserved it.

Democratic party is completely bankrupt.  They have nobody on the bench.  I don't care what Bill Clinton says.  Good luck finding a viable candidate for 2028.

This from a 75-year-old lifelong Democrat.  My parents were Stevenson democrats.  This 21st century mob is the worst.  I wouldn't vote for them with your dick.
