  • Mr Inbetween   https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7472896/   One of the best series I have watched in quite some time, an easy 8/10 for me.

  • When you get very old you can re-watch stuff from a month ago and have no idea that you have seen it before.

  • Wednesday......... is back, if you (or your kids have any  interest )   4 episodes out now ---4 episodes out in September

Why would anyone go back to the beginning of a 6 season series, with 6 - 8 episodes in each. If you watch 3 per day, every day, it would take you 16 days to catch up.

And?

It was shown in 2012 …… wait a minute does that mean time travel does exist ??

I just finished it-4 seasons. It was very good and wasn't dated at all.

Submarine movies.

The Enemy Below

Run Silent, Run Deep

Das Boot

soon:

Bedford Incident  (with the one only Wally Cox!)

Hunt for Red October

Crimson Tide

All of the above I've seen before.  'Soon' will be watched again, um, soon 😉.

Might even try U-571, keeping expectations low.

Will not see Greyhound (Tom Hanks) again, the CGI is borderline cartoon IMO.

There is a revised Das Boot out now that is about an hour longer than the version released in the 1980s. It really captures the intensity, fear, monotony and claustrophobia of the sailors' situation.  If you can make it through in one sitting you may come away as rattled as Johan.  It took me 3.

So you imply that you should only watch the current episode and none of the ones that led up to it? You've obviously been watching too much network TV where you watch whatever they spoon feed you on any given day... Enjoy the commercials.

Changing Ends Season 3 is out!

This brilliant UK series is flippin' hilarious.

I'd rather that you do that LOL.....anyway it sets the scene for the nonsense to follow.

Oh dear.   Stick to cartoons then

I watch very little network TV as  I have IPTV which gives me everything.

You've obviously got enough time to start at Season 1 Ep1, and catch up with the current episode in a few weeks. Not my kind of viewing.

I've been watching  Continuum....Sci-Fi series about time travel. It has been good .

You'll probably like 12 monkeys then. Both the movie and series are good.

Not a new show but  funny...

The New Adventures of Old Christine" is a sitcom that aired on CBS from 2006 to 2010, starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

But I will watch good movies like "12 monkeys" or "The Martian" and did watch a good older movie called, "the Untouchables" the other evening so no need to watch cartoons with quality movies like this on call. Add to that, movies like "Prometheus", "Law Abiding Citizen", "Jeremiah Johnson"......... and the list goes on with nary a cartoon amongst them!

I think (hope) that its just a slow starter-- will probably speed up when she makes contact with the guy, (who is also anti the aliens) takes her phone call.  They are already making season 2...so I guess they have high hopes.

The ones that just come out weekly, I think, get dumped by viewers more then the Netflix model, where you can watch 3-4 in a night and judge then.

I remember enjoying watching 'Black Sea' (2014) set in a sub with Jude Law. Normally not keen on movies set mostly in one location but wouldn't mind giving this one another watch.

I decided to try and watch the movie, "One Battle after Another", but really couldn't get into it and early on in the movie, the part where Sean Penn managed to get an erection as he was having a gun pointed at him, was beyond belief – – and I can honestly say that when I had a loaded pistol put to my head by an angry Libyan soldier, holding onto my bladder contents was my prime concern.

I couldn't watch it all and this part summary just about says it all for me.........

"PTA's usual offbeat humour is basically MIA, and without it, long stretches drag and feel oddly dull. The film indulges its own grandeur, with sprawling chases and spectacle, but without clarity or cohesion. Honestly? It's his weakest film yet. It wants to be grand, relevant, provocative - and in parts it succeeds - but just doesn't hold it together. In the end, there's no clear overall message, just a lot of battles, one after another, that feel thrown at you without being stitched into something coherent.

So buddy I too thought this is so silly at the start.

Did you see Once Upon a Time in Hollywood? That too started out  looking strange.

Funny that the two main actors are in both movies.

Give the movie  a look as it too has the same amazing quailty.

I thought that Once upon a time in Hollywood was a good movie and I don't remember Sean Penn being in it?? And it was based upon true events, but it makes no difference to me as I like what I like!!
