If you only watched the MSM, that may be what you saw.  If you watched alternative sources, you saw the cops going full Rambo on the much hated MAGA protestors, and some of the protestors defending themselves (and other protestors) from police beatings.

Looking forward to the release of ALL the footage.  Personally, I believe that some protestors needed to go to jail and a few of them deserved long sentences.  But 1500 felony prosecutions?  That was abuse of power.  And the pardons are to correct the injustices.

It was. Many of them were merely there at the Capitol building and were located and arrested by their phone locations. Many were banged up without being charged.

"Tried to overthrow the government"

So funny! Have you seen any of the many 1000s of hours of CCTV footage from the so-called "insurrection" and how it played put? I bet you haven't even checked.

The guy with the horns (Jacob Chansley if I remember) was given a guided tour of the Capitol building by up to ten police officers. It's all on video. He prayed in the senate chamber itself and they stuck him in prison for a couple of years. Using phone geo locations they prosecuted hundreds who were simply there at the Capitol Building. Many have been held without charge for three years.

Did you know that it's now been admitted by the FBI that there were over 30 CHS's, paid by the FBI and dressed as Maga supporters in the crowd? Why would that be?

Did you know that three people died on the day and NOT one was a police officer.. Ashli Babbit was murdered in cold blood by Michael Byrd. Rosaline Boyle was beaten to death by a female police officer. I can't remember the name of the other.

Now Trump is back all will be revealed.

can you post a link where there were 30 pad FBI undercorver agents there in the Capitol? You imply they were instigators but in fact they were dressed as any undercover agent or informers would be on any case. I believe there were 3 assigned and the remainder were tagalongs on there own as they had been working the case prior and attended the rally .

Have you seen the footage of the rioters burning items, bear spraying police, beating them with clubs and shields?  Issuing treat of violence and carrying handcuffs and zip ties to detain congressmen and women? I guess not

I watched it all day long as the violent mob attacked law enforcement officers.

Your attempt to rewrite history by telling me that what I saw with my own eyes and ears wasn't "real" reminds me of Fake Christians trying to pretend the Bible doesn't prohibit lying, stealing, cheating just because you mumbled some words about accepting Jesus.

You just threw Jesus in the garbage with your lies.

You have to learn to "think" like a MAGA....and I use the term think generously.

Look at it like the Wave-Particle Duality in Quantum Mechanics.  For example, in the stolen documents case, the FBI planted them AND 45 had every right to take them, because he had declassified them with his mind (a lie corroborated by soon-to-be Himmler-wannabe Kash Patel).

So it's simple re the 6 January terrorists...they're true patriots AND Antifa.

An ex senator and VP had more right to retain classified documents than a President? Are you OK?

Two kinds of people in the US....

1) Traitors who think it's okay to beat and bear spray cops, plus try to find the Vice President to hang him

And....

2) Patriots who think all the pardoned terrorists should be doxxed, their names and addresses posted online, so that real Americans and angry law enforcement officers can go pay them a 'visit'.

Prove that Trump encouraged them to break into congress or you are making it up. If it's a fact you must be able to prove it.

Ain't that the truth, unless one calls dividing the nation, disregarding criminals if they were illegal immigrants as achievements, and who was actually running the country anyway?

At the minimum that will be happening. You are talking about Michael Byrd. The left, of course, gave him a promotion. Rosanne Boyland was beaten to death by a female police officer.

The police officer who was "beaten with a fire extinguisher" turned out to be a total fabrication by the media. He died of a stroke days a few days after Jan 6th.

If the truth doesn't work, make it up and the woke will lap it up.

Reading some of the posts from the sore loosers, it's really really good that Trump won. Their rants are soooooo entertaining.

No point in telling some posters the truth- so invested in hate that they believe anything the MSM propaganda tells them.

On which side of your ridiculous line does Jonathan Turley fit?

George Washington University law professor Jonathan Turley said Tuesday that the cruel way former President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice (DOJ) handled the cases of Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol rioters provided justification for President Donald Trump’s decision to pardon them on Monday.

Biden’s DOJ prosecuted over 1,200 individuals from nearly every state in connection with the riot and a D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals panel found in March 2024 that some defendants experienced a wrongful extension of their sentences. Turley, on “America’s Newsroom,” suggested that while he had wanted accountability for those “responsible for the riot,” the DOJ’s overreach made Trump’s pardons reasonable.

Never underestimate the power of dumb people when they get together they can do "great" things.

This is going to get dark, pretty quick.

Trump's got the Police eating out of his hand.

The police view The Constitution as an obstacle to putting "bad people" in "bad places".

Police would love to be freed from the shackles of having to obey the law.

And now Trump has his Death Squad Paramilitary in place, SCOTUS already told him in a prior decision ANYTHING he does in office "has immunity" and he can't be prosecuted.

And now he can pardon his Death Squad for any crimes they are getting ready to commit.

What a Golden Age not seen in America since Nazi Germany. ☠️

Unlike Dear Leader, America pays it's debts and hasn't <deleted> it's creditors in the ass six times in Bankruptcy court. 😋

Donald Trump's businesses have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy six times. These filings allowed his companies to restructure their debts while continuing operations. The instances include:

  1. 1991: Trump Taj Mahal
  2. 1992: Trump Plaza Hotel
  3. 2004: Trump Hotels and Casino Resorts
  4. 2009: Trump Entertainment Resorts
  5. 2009: Trump Entertainment Resorts (second filing)
  6. 2014: Trump Entertainment Resorts (third filing)

It's important to note that these were corporate bankruptcies; Trump has never filed for personal bankruptcy.

The treasonous repubs like Boebert are offering to give them guided tours of the Capitol, including those who beat cops and wanted to hang the VP, Republicans are the enemy of law enforcement.

We used to get authority to take out jihadis in the tribal regions of Pakistan---this was done under 45, too---who represented far less of a threat to the homeland.

I suspect some patriotic law enforcement officers are going to hunt down the scum after the convicted felon pardoned them, and sent them to hell.

The US Taxpayer had to pick up all of those bankruptcies, as stiffed junk bondholders used the losses against other gains.

Some loans from NY banks, on other properties, had personal guarantees. He had a payment due on one which he couldn't pay, so his daddy walked into one of his NJ casinos and bought $3.2 million in chips and walked out. The cash was then used to service the NY loan. (MAGA fanboys can Google that.)

Change in Total U.S. Debt by President

Below is a table of debt by U.S. presidents in the 20th and 21st centuries.

Misleading. Biden's tally is incomplete here.

Better to include the full link: https://www.investopedia.com/us-debt-by-president-dollar-and-percentage-7371225

which includes this comment:

Which President Contributed the Most to U.S. National Debt?

The national debt increased by nearly 40 times under Abraham Lincoln from 1861 to 1865—the largest multiple of increase in U.S. history.7 Of those who were president in either the 20th or 21st century, Franklin D. Roosevelt contributed to the largest percent increase in national debt. Recent presidents Barack Obama, Donald Trump, and George W. Bush presided over the three largest increases in terms of dollar amounts. Current President Joe Biden is on pace to join or surpass them.
