Alright, local coffee lovers!

Morning caffeine routine feeling a bit...meh? I'm looking to shake things up and dive into some new beans, and Lazada seems to have everything. Seriously, the options are overwhelming!

Has anyone here actually ordered coffee beans from Lazada? If so, I'd love to hear your personal recommendations! Which shops, specific beans, and roast levels have you had good experiences with? Help a fellow caffeine seeker out!

Have ordered my beans only from small roasters selling their products in lazada for years. Tried many different roasters over the years and  have yet to get anything that was not good - though I am not really an afficionado just a heavy user. Lately ordered this one as dark roast which was good to my taste.

Love a good coffee, try the beans in Friendship Supermarket.

There is a kiosk in the middle where they weigh and grind fresh, some surprisingly good gems.

Coffee is a matter of personal taste. One person's favorite brew might not suit other people at all. I am using more than 1 kg of beans per month only for myself, occasionally  even roasting myself.

But because of the personal taste issue I will however not recommend certain roasters or beans.

please feel free to pass on your beans/roast of choice . I asked for recommendations  only . this will help me narrow down my search and maybe save me wasting my money on poor quality beans or find that elusive beans I might not have considered 🙂

I personally like beans from Brazil (Santos or Cerrado). They usually have a smooth and  mild chocolate caramel taste. There a many roasters offering these. Medium roast is fine for me, dark roast is more intense.

For Thai beans go for Chiang Rai beans. I have visited different plantations in the North of Thailand and consider Chiang Rai the best.

As mentioned coffee is a matter of personal taste, others might disagree with the above choices.

Try typica full city roast (medium dark), a personal favorite.

A friend of mine who has tried a lot, loves NL brand, medium/dark roast, he buys them on Lazada.

I wish I could help. As a long haul truck driver for 40 years, coffee is my beverage of choice. Sadly though I've had such crap coffee through out the years that I think my taste bud ruined. So now If it tastes like coffee I'm happy good luck with your search.

I experimented with different beans until i found what i liked best which is Dark French roast, the French bit means it's roasted longer and will be less acidic/bitter, it definitely varies with different roasters so like everything it's trial and error. I now grind before every coffee

How do you brew your coffee ️?

I started using this little contraption with excellent results.

I am a mocha pot man 🙂

I think i bought Columbian on Lazada (starbucks) but not sure. Personally for me this is the best. But not always easy to find on Lazada

They have a variety as you say.

Guatemalan if you can find it is a very relaxing coffee you can drink in the afternoon.

Just tried 'Verona' a French Dark roast definiterly from Starnucks, which is ok but I wont be going back to it.

Hope of help

Anyone with recommended brands other than Starbuck for Columbia please let me know.

Not a Lazada order-er. However Hillkoff should have some on that platform. A Thai company that has decent if not spectacular coffee.

Unless things have changed  ( they have not - just checked)  There is a tax or tariffs on imported coffee. Green beans imported into Thailand, roasted here, taxed minimally. However coffee roasted outside of Thailand, then imported in, taxed heavily. Thailand and Lazada have a growing number of these international beans. The issue, who knows what grades of Arabica, the Thai roasters purchase. I've never had anything really good, more on the good but kind of bland side of things.

Note  - there is a coffee shortage right now with both higher prices & shortages of preferred beans. I can deal with a lot of evil excrement, but not without coffee.

My Moka Pot is excellent, it's the new and improved design with a taller upper part, coffee flows perfectly, the original design struggled to get the coffee out

It’s not Lazada but I rotate through whatever Benjamit has on hand - never a bad bean, decent prices and good people to boot.

Better prices and selection at Friendship and lower 100 gram minimums.....

I wondered when these would arrive.

How well does it work? These ones on Lazada for 139 baht work perfectly, so much better than the old shorter mokapot design

Screenshot_2025-03-10-17-55-24-572_com.lazada.android.jpg

No idea how it works.

ill try and get up a review. Home pro is on my feed, & they were advertising it today. As a coffee junky, with a newly installed induction stove, I'll buy one, even if not a serious moka pot drinker.

BTW you don't need a specific induction mokapot you can just buy a converter plate for under 100 baht on Lazada. Induction hobs often don't work if the mokapot is too small

Valid points...

I order my coffee from https://coffeeculture.asia/ who seem decent enough (price and quality and I'm very fussy with coffee).

Most important think it grind 'consistency' to get a decent extraction..

Then consider what 'type of coffee you want'...

- French Press

- Mokka Pot

- Espresso

- Pour Over

etc etc...

IMO - Mokka Pot is the best for the buck brewing method...   I go with a Medium Dark Esspresso ground Arabica Bean....  but thats because it lets more of the solid through and makes a slightly muddier coffee that I like...

In Pattaya, try Oldies coffee roaster, also known as Jitphirom coffee. They roast beans on the premises and have a large variety of coffee beans. They supply many hotels in town. It's on google maps, search for "Jitphirom Coffee Roastery (Oldies)".
