Ukraine Backs U.S. Ceasefire Proposal, Awaiting Russian Response

So, you admit that the Ukraine Army had/has some Neo Nazi crap going on in the pro-Russian areas of Ukraine?

Cos it seems to me that you tried to avoid acknowledging the evidence I showed (after asking me to post it, lol) and just retorted with some links to Putin doing the same thing, as some kind of pathetic "he did it too" deflection.

I had a look at your link. I saw two soldiers with nazi stickers. It seems to be personal and not representing the whole army, as claimed by Russia propaganda, What about your claim about tanks with nazi signs?

The drone attack on Moscow was good timing > Russia unlikely to agree > Russia looks like the bad boy… but we already knew that.

The reason was that the U.S. assessed that it would need such missiles against China.

Then you deflect about the fact that there is no need to put these missiles in Ukraine. Just in case your imaginary threat from NATO would be anything else than Russian propaganda! 🙂

Just remember, Trump isn't dealing with a fantasy world constructed by some delusional Neocons.  He is at the table with Russia, and for Russia, any kind of missiles that are close enough to hit strategic targets within Russia are an existential threat, including any missiles that might be deployed by NATO or European forces.  That's reality. Putin has been saying that for years, and he means it.  That's the reality that Trump will have to accept.  Russia won the war.  It's over, except for mopping up the mess.

The real trouble is yet to come.  The Middle East.  That's a real powder keg, and unfortunately, it's a big problem.

As I wrote before, there's no need to put them in Ukraine.

And if it were the real problem, it would be enough to forbid it in the agreement.

Your claim is just Russian propaganda. The real reason Putin opposes the presence of foreign troops in Ukraine is that it may prevent him from invading it again.

I accept there were neo-Nazis in Ukraine.

Now how about you accepting Putin has employed Neo-Nazi organizations within his military and has supported neo-Nazi organizations across Eastern Europe and beyond?

I accept 👍 Why wouldn't I?

Nobody is pretending Putin is innocent.

No Putin is definitely not innocent, he’s the aggressor and illegal war.

Please......Western countries would do the same thing if a military alliance between our adversaries was moving right up to our doorstep.

Imagine if a military alliance between Russia, China, North Korea, Iran etc. etc. began moving closer to American soil, say Cuba or Mexico.

America would be in Cuba or Mexico in a second using force, making sure they didn't join. It would be a national security threat.

Yeah, I am talking about NATO, incase you aren't following

Nonsense. Mexico, for example, doesn't need to join such an alliance for fear of being invaded by the U.S.

Russia's problem is that it repells neighbouring countries and is unable to attract them (unless they are ruled by autocratic such as in Belarus).

And that bit about Russia abducting tens of thousands of Ukrainian children.

Would western nations do the same thing?

Or is this another Russian atrocity you feel the need to ignore, obfuscate or deny?

What if Ireland joined such an alliance?

What would Britain's reaction be?

Wars have been started for less.

Not at all.

And I didn't ignore it - like most people on here -  when Palestine took Israeli children as hostages.

I wouldn't blame Ukraine - like most people did with Israel - if they gave Russia hell until every last hostage is returned.

You brought up child hostages, which has nothing to do with NATO's expansion closer to Russia since the fall of the Soviet Union affecting Russia's national security (which is what we were discussing).

You were just deflecting and going off topic

I wonder how many innocent casualties of war NATO has totalled over the decades?

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14492531/Putin-plan-Ukraine-Trump.html

The Kremlin announced this morning that the operation to eject Kyiv's forces was now in its final stage.

The Russian dictator's rare appearance in military fatigues was seen as a signal he aims to go on with the war, and today Poland - worried about the Kremlin's continued threat - revealed it has asked the US to base nuclear weapons on its territory.

As Washington continues to push for a truce, documents from an influential Kremlin-linked thinktank, obtained by the Washington Post, suggest that Russia has been working to undermine a possible peace deal since at least February.

I brought up the tens of thousands of Ukrainian children abducted by Putin in his illegal war against Ukraine in response to your excusing Putin with this statement:

You responded by going off topic to the Israel/Palestine conflict and then claim I‘m deflecting and going off topic.

Or Rubber meets the road Vlad...

'If Russia refuses, we should sanction the hell out of them' — Trump, Sen. Graham, hope Putin agrees to ceasefire

Any actual room for more sanctions?

Same reply. Why would Ireland do that? It is not under threat of being invaded or bullied by UK.

You took us off topic, then blamed me for us being off topic. Lol.

What do the hostages have to do with NATO on Russia's doorstep?

Well, except from the fact that the war probably wouldn't have started if Ukraine had remained neutral and diplomatic towards Russia, rather than ignoring Russia's concerns about them trying to join NATO.

Zelensky led his country into a war they could never win. Total idiot.

I think he's great, and I hope wins in '28.

I do, and your comparison still doesn't make sense at all. There is currently no threat against Ireland from UK.

If our adversaries (Russia, China, North Korea, Iran etc. etc.) had a military alliance that would be a very very big problem for the West (a national security threat actually). There would be conflict, especially if it spread further west.

You know this. You are pretending you don't.

Making up reasons why countries may or not join is irrelevant. If it was happening to us - which it is for Russia - it would be an issue and likely war.

Ceasefire is coming. Putin will agree. He also wants the war to end. Once a ceasefire happens then negotiations to bring the war to an end can begin. This ceasefire will happen and happen quickly. If I'm wrong then I'll admit to that.

That would be a first.

I'm not sure about the ceasefire now. It could go either way. The Kursk salient has collapsed and Putin's forces are moving west faster than ever albeit still slowly. It will be interesting to see what stick Trump can use on Putin. Putin basically has all the cards but Trump is the dealer. Zelensky is basically out of the game.
