"President" Trump has repeatedly and openly stated his intention to annex Canada as the 51st state and his opening tool for that is an extremely aggressive trade war.

Obviously the USA has much more military power than Canada if it came to that, but the same can be said of Russia vs. Ukraine and it's now three years later in an "SMO" that was supposed to take a few days.

It may be a dopey question, but, as a hypothetical 'IF', it would have to be Canada all the way. Few people would back the US in anything nowadays aside from the axis countries or unless they had an agenda. I don't know what's worse, the US being top dog with the current thugs in power, or commie China. I just wish Britain would grow its balls back and tell Donald & co to FO.

Yes under Trump the USA sadly is no longer the leader of the "free world" or even a member of it!

Now part of the autocratic world where it's OK for stronger nations to swallow up weaker ones.

If Trump is able to annex Canada by destroying it economically, there is zero doubt there will be a strong armed Canadian resistance. That's the same thing as war.

Would Trumps agree to return Alaska to Russia if the price were right ?   He thinks he can take Greenland and Canada so by the same logic Russia should get back Alaska .....purely in the interest of World Peace.

Before the Americans burned down the city of York (Toronto).

I'm 1/2 Canadian and 1/2 USAian, but hold a US passport.  If war broke out I would renounce the US passport and go to the Canadian Embassy with a copy of my mother's birth certificate!
