When I saw the topic on the soapbox landing page I was alarmed that  Finland was being attacked by leftists. After all, Finns come in at #1 in the happiness ratings. So I thought that should make Finland the greatest.  But Finland ranks only a measly 31st in life expectancy. Then I thought, maybe Hong Kong which has the highest average life expectancy or, since Hong Kong is kind of small, maybe Japan at #2 is the greatest nation on earth.

So you can imagine my shock when riclag of all people nominated the USA for that honor. Who could have seen that one coming? Was it because the USA has the lowest average life expectancy  out of all the worlds fully developed economies, sandwiched at 48th between Albania and Estonia? Or was it because it it has the highest health care costs per capita? Anyway, go Team USA! USA! USA! USA!... And to heck with you  losers. That's right, I'm talking to you, Japan, and you Finland. And especially to you leftists. You dudes don't understand what winning really means and what life is all about.

What exactly is traditional about Trump?  He is the most radical president in American History.  

 

Trump has the complete opposite policies of GW Bush who was president in 2001.  Bush was pro immigrant, pro free trade, anti Russia.  Bush worked with our allies and even asked NATO to defend the Untied States after the attacks.

I guess terrorism is an American's problem then.  I hope the US doesn't ever need NATO allies again, like they did after 9-11.  I doubt Canada or Europe will come to America's defense anyone like they did back then.

There is just no deep culture, history or homegrown innovation. Just a nothing ness off others' ideas. While it is of course the richest economy and also one of the most beautiful places on earth, especially up and about the Rockies--and there are some very cool people--it has done this through the influx of (chiefly) European input.

 

Delve into history and there is only one true great after Greece and Rome and that is Britain. It gave an advanced language, law, sports, diverse music and was pretty much unparalleled in the arts and science. Donkeys will naturally poopoo this because they have an axe to grind and there is the envy element, but we'd all still be rolling around in the old poop if it weren't for them. Read your history.

 

Only reason it ever let the Americas go was because of a weak, prat of king who didn't know wtf he was doing and there was more pressing stuff going on elsewhere.
