Try to ask DeepSeek about that............oh wait it is superior to ChatGPT and not invented by Americans

It was actually, the architects of DeepSeek just ripped off Google's open source. DeepSeek was a straight copy job.

But just because you're special, one more time just for you:

"The Biden administration said Friday that it has finalized tariff hikes on certain Chinese-made products that the president first announced in May.

The tariff rate will go up to 100% on electric vehicles,"

It's always been Putin's propaganda line to assert that there are no grounds to criticize him because the USA is just as bad. I'm saddened to say that the Trump version of the USA is trending towards being even worse.

He is correct, the USA is in no position to dictate to others.

Lol, electric vehicles a recent invention. They have been around for 100+ years already. Didn't look into the other claims.

if you actually read the paragraph it was clearly stating that Tesla proved that EVs can be high-performing and eco friendly.

Yep, really does help if one can actually use what is available.

Finally it's official. US products in international markets are not competitive. Remedy: Impose tariffs.

Indeed: Outside of Silicone Valley not much "innovation" had it's origin in the US. There is a Chinese Automaker that registers 45 new patents EVERY DAY.

Without the steady stream of foreighn buyers of T-Bills and T-Bonds, the American Dream would have run out of gas a long time ago. Reserve currency etc etc etc...

I don't think you know how the Bretton Woods agreement works.

LOL   - he was correct.... he did not lie.  Trump did not design the tariffs according to the amount of tariffs the target country is/was charging on US goods.   You need to practice your reading comprehension.  Instead the Trump tariffs are determined by the $ volume of trade imbalances.  Moronic beyond measure.

Are you claiming that the "Global order" was not built by the USA?  We built it for a purpose, its no longer serving our needs, so now we will build another.

Care to dispute our role with some facts beyond your typical America hating flames? Tell the Forum what MAGA world is.

Dont forget your childish emojis.

Global Order originating with the Marshall Plan was to the strategic advantage of the US i.e. Peace and Trade. Remember at the end of WW11 USA held approx 70% of the world gold reserves. World Order /  the Rule of Law is still to the advantage to the US except in the weird paleo Conservative mind set of Miller and Navarro. I seriously doubt trump is capable of developing a New World order or more precisely he has yet to coherently articulate. In fact quite to the reverse, isolationism, to use your words, will lead to the economic death of America.

My comment of arrogance or perhaps hubris is the better word is my reaction to your post, to quote:

Notice: tariffs are OK now, just not when Trump does it.

Meanwhile, the leaders of the so called free world crawl to Mar a Lago, shedding copious tears and wailing as they implore us to spare them.

How about Grok, which is superior to every other competitor. It's not even close.

You're not posting in good faith. You're making stuff up and are mostly about obnoxious personal attacks. Waste of everyone's time. BYE.

How is my post in bad faith?  You inferred the "evil Trump" would have protestors shot down.  It never happened and won't happen.  You clearly have a world view that is one of projecting hate and violence on the right and especially Trump.  Same as the one that projects Trump won't step down.  And yes message boards did the same thing to GW Bush back in his era projecting "fascist" and would not leave office.  Denial that this happened is funny.  Back then it was BDS (Bush derangement syndrome).

And I have no doubt if another republican wins the presidency in 2028 he will be compared to Hitler and called a fascist.  The playbook remains the same as the players change.

This isn't a personal attack.  This is attacking what you post on this forum.  If you wish to clarify that you don't think Trump would have protestors shot down feel free.

just for your own edification, look up arpanet.

I love history revision.  I lived the evolution of data networking as a systems engineer in the 80s-90s.  From TDM, circuit switching, X.25, Frame Relay to ATM and TCP/IP.  Arpanet was the first experiment in true packet switching and was way ahead of the curve migrating away from circuit switching.  But if someone wants to believe a single person outside of Silicon Valley was "the inventor of the internet" I'll just shrug my shoulders.  Belief can be comforting.

Do you remember the infamous 'bloodbath' rally?

Trump said then he'd put 100% tariffs on Chinese EVs.... then low & behold.... Biden goes and does exactly that.

Trumps gets attacked in the media when he suggests is, Biden does it and  it goes basically unreported.... more proof just how bias the media is

Trump was attacked in the media for saying there would be a bloodbath if he wasn't elected. Now stop your lying/trolling and get back under your Russian bridge.

Like Trump you're talking in contradictions.

If you really want this tariff bomb to create a boom in US manufacturing, then that would take 5 to 10 years to get real results.

The tariff policy would need to stick so that businesses could begin to trust the US government a little bit.

If you're only using the tariff bomb to try to force negotiations, you can totally forget that first goal.

Trump has started a WAR.

Easy to start wars, hard to end them.

China and others such as Canada will not grovel. They will escalate.

Nobody wins. Everyone gets hurt. Especially American consumers.

A third contradictory goal you haven't mentioned but the Trump regime has is to use tariffs (paid by Americans) to replace the regular income tax system as much as possible.

Again if they are negotiated away, you don't get that goal either.

What Trump did was INSANE.

Does anyone really believe it is easy to get a american president and american politician who really care about the hard working and tax paying  American people ?

At least with  whatever he knows  Trump is trying  .   Think down the line after 50 year  .   getting cheap goods from China  and working in service industry  is not a sustainable approach for the next generation coming afer 20,30 years.  there will be a time come when china will catch america by the balls . that time there will not be any more cheap goods .

Charging USA buyers. NOT the countries who supply.
