A heads up might include some locations ??

I can say that there are quite regular checkpoints on the Sukhumvit road  heading north  near the Ambassador hotel   and heading south   just past the floating market  where the road starts uphill.

There is also  a favourite spot  in south Pattaya under the flyover that goes to Bali Hai pier.

I’m pleased to report they do.

I’ve been checked twice at 5am driving out of Pattaya to go cycling.

Stone cold sober both times but nevertheless checked.

Favorite spot on Sukhumvit from Bang Saray to Jomtien, just after the M7 motorway exit.  Those look mostly to be DL and helmet checks.

Understood but starting early here and well inside city limits

In OZ, they are anywhere at any time, even in backstreets people trying to avoid a boozebus.

Good, they should confiscate their vehicles and fine then 1 million baht murdering barstewards

Best to stay home with plenty of comfort food and adult beverages

while the rest be the rest , during the chaotic at times water festival.
