So you're a sore loser. The Democrats are a disgrace. No wonder Trump won. Crap policies and a giggling idiot as candidate. 3 idiots in a row from the Dems. Pathetic.

Maybe the fact that Dutton came over as a bit of Plod had something to do with it ....he always reminded me of a funeral undertaker .

That's probably the dumbest thing you've said in all your dumb posts.

I always vote for a winner and I'm not a dumb bogan. 🙂

Did you vote for the Trumpy party Trumpets of Patriots.  Did poorly though.

I think there was a bit of a Trump factor as Dutton tried to be a bit tough guy like Trump early on but failed. Used the old hate media title against the ABC and Guardian. Australians can see through Trump better than Americans it seems. But Dutton was a poor candidate in his own right.

I voted for nobody. Dutton failed to sell his nuclear policy or anything really. He couldn't sell a beer in a pub with that face. Albo is another Biden. Liked by some but totally useless.

People all throughout time have allowed others to influence their opinion. This is no exception. Sad day when an outsider can make a countries vote go a certain way.

Weak individuals just like Canadians.

trump is a negative influence on right wing politics in Australia as his policies have a negative impact on Australia; primarily trade and foreign affairs.

Yup you aught to heed that rule

I never stalk anyone. The act of stalking is following somebody from topic to topic and harrassing them with 80% of posts. You stalk Trump.

Australia, like Canada, is a test bed for the Controllers.

You guys did a good job with Covert Nineteen.

Next: Austerity measures.

We must pay our fair share to reduce our carbon footprint.™️

You need to explain this otherwise it's simply another anti-Trump opinion.

Funny but some in Canada have said the same about Canada's 'new' Prime Minister...

Symbolic of course.

Its fairly extraordinary for Leaders of the Opposition to lose their seats. First Canada, now Australia.

To be fair, it sounds like Dutton was a reluctant representative for his seat anyhow.

The first opposition leader in Australian history to lose their own seat at a federal election.

Held the same seat for twenty-four years.

And so Oz continues its slow decline into mediocrity.

Which - sadly - would have been little different if Dutton had won. Which is why he didn't. (Wodda we get from you that's any different from Albo?)

The challenge now is for the Liberals to find a new strong leader who can form & articulate sensible right-of-centre policy, including reducing expenditure (WAY out of control under Labour, though it was heading that way already under the Morrison government), reform the tax system (inter alia increase GST to 15%), a more focussed welfare state (sigh!), MAJOR effort to lift productivity across the economy, new focus on a post-Trump world of trade competition, focussed Defence policy (eg Oz-made drones, instead of just arm waving) & rethinking/refocussing  the AUKUS alliance, and a more sensible - reality-based! - energy transition that includes nuclear-generated as well as gas ...

And on & on. For the last 3+ years Oz has been slowly sliding down the international comparative performance measures (eg GDP per capita - used to be in the top 4 or 5, now way down the list).

It's not the Albanese guvmint that's going to do the job. And, after this debacle, the Libs may take 6 or more years to recover ...

I'm curious why you didn't do the same when Biden was ignoring federal immigration laws and defied the supreme courts ruling about student loans?

Aren't those actions a threat to democracy?

Dutton must be the worse thing that's ever happened to the Libs in their entire history, not only did he lose this election, he did so in a massive landslide giving the ALP a huge majority, he destroyed his own political career at the same time, and wiped out a whole bunch of future Lib leaders. Talking about a big-time loser. Good riddance.

I agree, with a better choice of leader, someone with charm, wit, charisma, and a solid vision for the future they could have won this in a landslide, as Albo was definetely on the nose. Quite frankly Dutton frightened too many people, he still had that QLD copper mindset and persona.

There you go showing your stupidity. You didn't vote but want to belittle Albo and people who did vote.

Voting in non marginal seats makes no difference. You really are clueless.
