Pattaya police have apprehended a Thai transwoman involved in a violent altercation with an Israeli tourist on Pattaya Beach Road. The transwoman, whose identity remains undisclosed, vanished from the scene shortly after a chaotic brawl erupted in the early morning hours. The altercation, captured on video, displayed at least five transgender women attacking the tourist in a black T-shirt, reportedly stemming from a dispute over a failed street deal.

The transwoman managed to evade police upon their arrival but was later detained by Pattaya City Police’s Special Operations Unit on May 19 for questioning, alongside other suspects already in custody. The incident, which quickly went viral on Thai social media, showed the tourist being surrounded, punched, and kicked by the group. His friend, dressed in elephant-print clothes, desperately attempted to intervene, but to no avail.

As captured in the footage, amidst the chaos, one of the transwomen yelled, “The black shirt! The black shirt!” as bystanders seemingly blocked the tourists’ efforts to escape. Following investigations, both the Israeli tourists and the involved transwomen were charged with “jointly causing a fight” in light of the street deal dispute that spiralled out of control.

The arrest coincided with a major crackdown on Pattaya Beach, targeting sex work and aiming to enhance tourist safety. Police deployed over 20 officers to sweep the Bang Lamung district, resulting in the detention of more than 50 individuals, both cisgender and transgender. After recording their details and providing “attitude adjustments,” the majority were released.

Pattaya authorities plan further operations to address illegal activities and safeguard the city’s reputation amid rising incidents of violence involving foreign tourists. As the community processes this latest public incident, efforts are intensifying to maintain order and foster a safe environment for all visitors.

It's an offensive word to describe normal people. This involved two MEN

I do not see what the problem is. Pattaya claims there is no prostitution but everyone knows that is a farce. If the police actually stopped these trans from loitering on the streets selling their asses or peckers these fights would never happen. The police know what these Trans do hanging out on the streets together and they know it is not for socializing. It is ultimately the fault of the police that this is happening more and more in places like Phuket and Pattaya.

These ladyboys need to be reeled in (not that I'm supporting any Israelis). There's nothing pertaining to these ladyboys that's been termed as OK. They all used to be professional pickpockets & well trained in other forms of theft. Time to get rid.

There's so often a reported incident between ladyboys and tourist in Phuket and Pattaya it sounds ridiculous.Does any of the, alleged, powers to be really care what type of picture this behavior presents to future tourist or is it I couldn't care less attitude.

Second report about Israeli vs kathoeys in a short period.

What a coincidence.
