Are you so blinkered that you cannot even accept the possibility some of his policies are not working out? Really? Is the syndrome truly that hypnotic and that pervasive?

It would appear to me that you are just 100% intolerant of any criticism of your political master, you just simply cannot help yourself, you have to comment even if your comment is completely feeble and witless. It is quite a sad thing to witness.

Regardless of where you stand on the political spectrum it's difficult to argue with public sentiment, and the public seems to be disagreeing with Trump's handling of recent events, and his poll numbers seem to be reflecting that.

Most of that is being driven by biased media coverage.  If you hear something often enough from the news sources you used to be able to trust, you tend to think like they want you to.

I'm actually an immigration hardliner. There needs to be a clean out and mass deportations. But it needs to concentrate on the cities.

I'd prioritize criminals, then work through the deliberate freeloaders sucking up free stuff on the taxpayer dime.  By the time they've worked through those 2 groups, there will be another election.  And the new guy can re-prioritize.

In fact, that seems to be what Homan is doing.  But that's not the way the MSM is covering it.

Edit:  By "criminals", I mean the ones who commit more crimes after they sneak in illegally.

Trump has sold out! He's letting these illegals stay and work in the USA and take jobs from real Americans. That stinks!

Some people are surprised by this, apparently. I don't know why. TACO is true. His two most central issues since he ran for president in 2016 have been illegal immigration and China. And he's sold out on both: he even sold out on the Tik Tok ban he first introduced. Why would anyone expect consistency in anything he does, immigration policy, tariffs, China, North Korea, Iran, or anything else. Look, the country has already been saved from Harris/Walz. They're no longer a threat. The new threat is the semi-functional narcissist Trump. Time to impeach and convict him. Get him out of office before he turns the dollar into Monopoly money.

Agreed. And that applies to Fox, CNN, and the others too. They are all slanted and not trustworthy.

Is that really the best you have Mike, is that the best you can do? It would be both refreshing and perhaps informative if you would actually address a post rather than simply insult the poster. Are you up to that?

All you do is post the same garbage.  You lack substance.

I dare anyone to let their visa expire here, then openly destroy the infrastructure, throw rocks at innocent citizens and firebomb cars...and then waive the flag of the country you supposedly don't want to be in...

see how that works out for you and what media and government will say.

Goodluck getting to a jail cell by the way.

The same individuals who oppose Trump's immigration enforcement in the USA would mock someone deported from Thailand for having an expired visa.

Maybe fact checking "who is paying for these riots" would make a far better post and be more realistic, all the evidence is pointing at democrats and their minions, all the money the dems foisted onto their BS non profits just before they lost office will make many voters realize that the dems are paying for these riots just as they did with the blm riots. What I find really rediculous are all the idiots  protesting for the rioters, they want them to cause as much damage as possible, destroy actual US citizens businesses and livlihoods because they hate trump, the dems are not in this for their country, they are in it to control the country and do what they want, not what the actual citizens want, they greater majority want the illegals removed, the washington post is full of BS and false naratives, this is a fact and has been shown time & again, only those with little brain mater would belive all the BS they produce. The fact democrats are cheering on the rioters shows they do not care about their country, for them politics and dem values  are far more important than the US, truly pathetic.

So, as I understand it you aren’t American right, you watch FOX news, live in Thailand, and are in regular contact with how many people who live in Los Angeles for example?

Those of us from Los Angeles, we can tell.

Really it is Trump himself and I quote:

Repetition has been core to Trump’s speech throughout his political career. The Marshall Project used text analysis to identify 13 major claims about immigration in over 350,000 of Trump’s public statements from Factba.se, some of which Trump has made 500 times or more. All of them are untrue or deeply misleading.

Research has shown that as someone hears a statement more times, it feels more true.

Trump claims that:

Unauthorized immigrants are criminals [said 575+ times], snakes that bite [35+ times],eating pets, coming from jails and mental institutions [560+ times], causing crime in sanctuary cities [185+ times], and a group of isolated, tragic cases prove they are killing Americans en masse [235+ times].

They are stealing Americans’ public benefits [270+ times] and jobs [155+ times].

I hear these claims EVERY time he speaks like a script.

Note- this quote is from 10/2024 so the numbers are quite old and must be several multiples by now.

That's totally false, multiple studies have shown that illegal immigrants are net positive to the US economy. Most of them pay taxes and contribute to Social Security and they'll never see any return or any benefits on that money.

What studies? Something  you saw on AlterNet that was done by an NGO that gets rich facilitating illegal immigration?  This is just false.

Conservatives don't like to hear that, and they don't like to discuss it but it's absolutely true. And it's the same reason why conservatives, and especially the goon himself, very rarely ever like to debate immigration reform.

It is not absolutely true; it is just a lie you are regurgitating.

My cousin is an immigration attorney in Miami, and he tells me that top MIT graduates who finish their programs in nuclear physics, can't get a visa to work for an American company within the US. So they either need to go work for that American company overseas, or they need to work for another company overseas. Either way it's a huge brain drain away from the US. He also tells me that the quota system is 70 years old and is in drastic need of updating, especially for the higher qualified people with great expertise.

The less educated amongst us and the ones who gorge on podcasts and engage in memes, do not want to look into this and do not want to educate themselves on what is a very serious issue in regard to immigration.

Let's have an honest discussion here. Trump convinced members of Congress and the Senate to veto an immigration bill last term, as he did not want Biden to get credit for the passage of this bill. You could not only make an argument that it was a huge disservice to his nation, but you could also make an argument that it was entirely selfish motives that compelled him to act in such an unpatriotic manner.

This sounds great! Please outline the bill and what it would have done to close the border and facilitate top MIT graduates who finish their programs in nuclear physics are allowed to stay in the country.

Here's the bill. All it seems to do provide funding to process them in faster.

Hey @spidermike007 how about supporting your claim that:

"...multiple studies have shown that illegal immigrants are net positive to the US economy. Most of them pay taxes and contribute to Social Security and they'll never see any return or any benefits on that money."

You won't, because you can't, because it's a lie. You might find a few phony articles that say as much, but you will not find a legitimate study.

If you're referring to me in that statement you aren't watching closely. Its the first time I have been

In the top thing and its mainly from my light hearted comments. There is also a said reason why I was in the top thing. Recently I have been going through a change in my life and have had more spare time than normal so I interacted more on here.

My most popular comments are either just dumb fun statements or ones that are not about politics. So there's that too.

I've also asked you and others to show me my pro trump comments. Always met with silence. Just because I dislike the democrats does not mean I support Trump. In fact I was bashing Trump long before any of this started. Which is also met with silence.

Please dont lump me in wifh any group. I find all politicians pathetic. And I dont care to hear people's bla bla about how this one is worse than that one.

Anyone that thinks it allowing 20 million undocumented individuals into the country many of them criminals have to either have an agenda or just be absolutely stupid.

If it was 20 million German, French, Swedish or Danish it wouldn't be nearly the problem.

The real retardation happening in peoples minds is that country of origin doesn't matter. Remove the remaining white Americans and California will become Brazil in 10 years.

Preferred and liked/disliked countries of immigration to the U.S. come and go thru the years...

There were past times in the U.S. when Italian, Polish, Chinese, etc immigrants were hated and discriminated against.

But Trump seems to have a simpler and more basically racist view of the world -- if you're not white, he pretty much doesn't want you coming to the U.S.

Trump: Why allow immigrants from ‘sh**hole countries’?

January 12, 2018

"WASHINGTON (AP) — In bluntly vulgar language, President Donald Trump questioned Thursday why the U.S. would accept more immigrants from Haiti and “sh**hole countries” in Africa rather than places like Norway, as he rejected a bipartisan immigration deal, according to people briefed on the extraordinary Oval Office conversation.

Trump’s contemptuous description of an entire continent startled lawmakers in the meeting and immediately revived charges that the president is racist. The White House did not deny his remark but issued a statement saying Trump supports immigration policies that welcome “those who can contribute to our society.”  [emphasis added]

...

Trump has claimed without evidence that Barack Obama, the nation’s first black president, wasn’t born in the United States, has said Mexican immigrants were “bringing crime” and were “rapists” and said there were “very fine people on both sides” after violence at a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, left one counter-protester dead.

I know the Obama Administration reclassified turnarounds to be deportations so it looked like he was deporting a lot of people, but all ne was really doing was stopping them at the border.
