A foreign man created a scene in Phuket after driving against traffic and confronting a Thai woman in a heated road dispute.

The dramatic incident unfolded on Thursday, June 19, around 8:10 pm on the busy Kalim-Kamala Road, a stretch known for its bustling two-lane traffic.

Sharing her ordeal on Facebook, the Thai woman described how the man, allegedly intoxicated, drove his white BMW erratically, breaking from a long queue amid snarling traffic.

Dashcam footage reveals the BMW recklessly cutting across lanes, eventually halting directly in front of the woman’s vehicle.

With hazard lights flashing, the driver signalled her to move aside, but she stood her ground. This prompted the agitated driver to exit his car, approaching her with visible frustration, angrily gesticulating and striking the side of her car.

Fearing further escalation, the woman finally allowed him to pass and later reported the incident to Patong Police Station. Her dashcam had captured the vehicle’s registration plate, providing clear evidence of the encounter.

A witness to the commotion shared online that the BMW driver repeatedly tried to cut the queue, but was constantly blocked by other motorists. The victim noted in her post that the traffic lines were clearly marked, and the driver should have waited his turn like everyone else.

The incident highlights the stress of road rage incidents and reflects ongoing concerns about maintaining order on Phuket's bustling streets.

Not a huge suprise given the horrendous traffic congestion in Phuket

And how often large amounts of alcohol are consumed prior to driving

Apart from the driving against traffic, as soon as there's a slight tail back on the normal lanes of a road, the Thais quickly drive down the emergency lane. They then have to cut back into the normal lane farther down the road causing the queue to get worse.

So... entitled driver, pulls out of a queue of stationary traffic and drives into oncoming traffic expecting it to get out of his way.

Driver in the correct lane in the opposing direction goes into Karen mode and blocks him.

Situation escalates, she gets out of his way.

Is this not an every day occurrence here in Thailand  ???  - is this just special and newsworthy because its a foreigner ?

I've lost count of the amount of times I've had to stop or slow down and 'squeeze out of the way' of an oncoming driver to because they believe the queueing traffic is not for them and they'll just go around...

Its even worse with motorcyclists on small soi's who'll just drive straight towards you and make you stop otherwise you have a head on, then they can 'filter' into their correct lane so you can pass...

Definitely a Russian scumbag with some money and hiding from the Russian front should really obey the laws in a country your hiding in because your a coward,, now hopefully you will be sent back.... ASAP
