August 14, 2025Aug 14 I have been using this 1 year unlimited internet 15Mbps SIM card for many years.  https://www.lazada.co.th/products/i2010414206-s6473076195.html?urlFlag=true&mp=1  However 2 years ago it was 1700 Baht, last year it was 2600 Baht and this year it is 4000+ Baht. đ  Maybe there is a better deal to have?
August 14, 2025Aug 14 do you use it for your computer as a hotspot as well? it doesn't seem too bad if it can
August 14, 2025Aug 14 Popular Post I have a AIS Social Sim with unlimited internet, 15Mbps, free calls, any network, Wi-Fi for 30 days, costs 200bt a month, inc vat.

August 14, 2025Aug 14 My DTAC offers 10THB unlimited access and domestic calls for a week. At the end of today I will be charged another 10THB. If it carries on like this thats 520THB /yr! The speed whenever I check is not throttled at 4Mbps, but maxes out at around 80-90mbps. No idea why its so cheap.

It looks like the truly unlimited VOLUME (in GB) SIMs (at 15 Mbps) are 3,999 and up.  The fixed rate (6, 15, 20, 30 Mpbs) SIMs seem to (mostly) have a volume cap at 60 and 100 GB.  The DTAC Turbo X/100 gives 60 GB at 100 Mbps for 1,790 THB. DTAC 20 Mbps with 100 GB is 2,140 THB.  Do you know how much data you use each month?    Â
August 14, 2025Aug 14 No better deals for an Unlimited data 15 Mbps 12 month SIM, for a one off payment. There is the TRUE Unlimited 6 Mbps 12 month SIM for 3399 baht.  But there is a cheaper option for just data, if you have a Thai partner and can pay monthly. That is with https://gomo.th by AIS. 99 baht for their base SIM and 12 x 259 baht for their Unlimited 15 Mbps data package. Around 3250 baht in total including postage costs. (Approx. 3300 baht for 365 days). Includes unlimited AIS WiFi Hotspot usage. Only 10 minutes of free calls included(50 seconds per month) included with the 99 baht SIM.  https://finnmobile.io/en Using DTAC/TRUE 850MHz/1800MHz & 2100MHz(according to their website) offers Unlimited 20 Mbps. 277 baht per month(around 3325 baht per annum). Though I haven't read anything about their service.    Â
August 14, 2025Aug 14 I bought one from A lot - 9.9 sale lazada last year - 2,043 from 2,729. True Thor 15mbps unlimited data - hot-spot- free calls, etc.  Now it's 3,599 - mid month sale.  https://s.lazada.co.th/s.Bz4Eb  Will wait and see price 9.9 sale, as due for renewal soon after.  I think the later in the Year you buy, the cheaper, as validity will expire if not activated.

August 15, 2025Aug 15 AIS 12call 300 baht a month. 20Mbps + super wifi. After 70gb, the speed drops. Never had that happen.

August 15, 2025Aug 15 Whatever unlimited data SIM you can get - it is a great idea if/when you travel in Thailand. Hotel WiFi is often poor and a massive security risk. Starting using the annual unlimited data SIM over 2 years ago - much cheaper than any monthly plan and better speed and more data. We stream movies and sports when travelling using the DTAC annual SIM data plan. The usual speed is 6 to 9 Mbps and most streaming services work fine. We use NVidia Shield via Hotspot to phone and HDMI cable to the hotel's TV - works great. Â

August 15, 2025Aug 15 I am on my third year with a DTAC data SIM in my 4G router. The first two years, they were either 30 or 20 mbps, unlimited, but the price went from roughly 1300 baht to nearer 1800 baht for the second year, same package. Â After True acquired DTAC's services, the only unlimited options was True Thor (15mbps) and 6MPBS at 2900 and 2500 baht respectively. Since I was unsure of how good the True network was in my location in Udon Thani, I stayed with DTAC. The best they could offer at a reasonable price was my current service which is 20 mbps capped at 100 Gb/month, that cost 2040 baht for the year. Last month was the first time I blew the cap with about three days remaining in the month. I still haven't worked out what "ate my lunch", but it reset, and it is back to normal. Â It does appear that totally unlimited 4G options are getting either smaller or more expensive. Or both. Â My Lazada reseller is Melon Thai. Â

August 15, 2025Aug 15 I have a post paid Unlimited SIM with AIS, 373.43 THB pm (Includes the Tax), I believe this is now the Fixxy 399 Package, has speeds up to 20Mbs & includes 200minutes pm of free calls to any network. https://www.ais-promotion.net/?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21717101423&gbraid=0AAAAAohEkfW5vQ_HkfB3lX4BetMCQ_3UI&gclid=CjwKCAjwkvbEBhApEiwAKUz6-49mbH1eFM1TQN1Z2aHC5SPBP9uWcBHqjy8jaXdng5Dtmnb-q7shWBoCM6EQAvD_BwE  I know I could (or at least used to be able to) buy 12 month SIM's cheaper but I can't be bothered with the messing about when the number changes - especially nowadays with the Bank's tightening down on SIM registrations matching your Bank Account.  Works great for me, as I type this, my Fibre 3BB service (Bundled in with the Condo rent) is playing up again so the TV is hotspotted to it whilst GF watches Netflix & I'm hotspotted to watch Youtube & type this. August 15, 2025Aug 15 @Hamus Yaigh Run a speed test using https://testmy.net  The test you are using isn't reporting correctly, simply due to not wanting their speed ranking to suffer. You are seeing the speeds you might get on a Max Speed package, but the actual speed you can use is 4Mbps. Check it for yourself.

The average data download speed for a 5G network is 150-200 Mbps. 200 MBps - is that even possible over a mobile phone? I have 3BB fibre to the house and the most we get is 900 Mbps at the router and 280 Mbps over WiFi. Sometimes I get the 5G icon on the top right of the phone. For my package True has never guaranteed 5G speeds all the time. The 100+ speeds comes and go during the day and night.  Â

Excellent advice - most 'speed tests' only test best case download speeds - they are supported by the carriers.  Testmy.net gives a true and accurate result at that time and on that day across all networks (not just local). Download speed always varies depending on baseline load - especially on overseas networks.Â

If you are using the high speed internet for sites abroad then that speed decreases exponentially. There is a way to check the speed with servers outside of Thailand. My internet speed locally is almost 75MBPS locally within Thailand. But when checking with servers outside of Thailand it's reduced to 12 to 15MBPS Â
