Praveenar “Veena” Singh, 29, was crowned Miss Universe Thailand 2025, marking a triumphant fourth attempt at the title. The first Thai-Indian beauty queen to earn this prestigious honour, Veena, will proudly represent Thailand at Miss Universe 2025 in Bangkok this November.

Veena, a graduate of Thammasat University, had previously been a formidable contender in the national pageant, securing second runner-up in 2018, first runner-up in 2020, and second runner-up once more in 2023 before finally clinching the crown this year.

Born in Chiang Mai to Indian parents, Veena entered the 2025 competition as Miss Universe Saraburi after spending part of her childhood in Yala province, reported Thai PBS World.

In a groundbreaking move, Veena became the first married contestant in Miss Universe Thailand history, following a revision of rules by the global Miss Universe Organisation in 2022. This change has allowed married women, divorced women, mothers, and LGBTQ+ members to participate, broadening the scope of diversity in the competition.

Beyond the pageant stage, Veena has gained international attention. At the 78th Cannes Film Festival in May, Veena gained accolades from supermodel Bella Hadid, who expressed admiration for her stunning looks. She told her, “You look so beautiful. You're to die for. The face… so beautiful.”

As the newly crowned Miss Universe Thailand, Veena stands as a beacon of diversity and perseverance, embodying the modern spirit of the competition. Her journey signifies a progressive step for beauty pageants, reflecting the ever-evolving landscape of representation and inclusion in the industry.

  • Wrong. She is a Thai of Indian origin. She was born to Thai parents who may have been immigrants who took Thai nationality.

  • Born from Indian parents.. That means she has no Thai DNA in her..... so she is Indian with a Thai nationality.. If she was half Thai it would be different

Please spare me this contrived narrative. This is a purely political move from the judges. With the massive influx of Indians making the bulk of the tourists numbers,  its another TAT ad campaign they will use  to attract more from South Asia.  You can't tell me that nothing odd about this particular contestant who, after three failed attempts,  she is finally  crowned!  There's nothing to see here, folks..

Furthermore,  the first runner up is Thai and from Bangkok.  She is smoking hot and perhaps the most complete contestant in the Miss Universe Thailand competition in recent memories. Thai judges messed up big time, and I believe it will cost Thailand placing in the Top 5 in the Miss Universe contestant in December.

People are down voting me but if that picture was from the Tiffany's pageant it would look no different.  The amount of make-up is mind blowing.  I'd like to see a no make-up pageant. or would I?

I would. I watched some thai pageant a while ago and the makeup looked awful. The women looked way better in normal pics and videos that I saw.

I'd like to see ladies return to nature.

No make up. No tattoo eyebrows. No shaving body hair. No botox. No labia tightening. No belly button surgery.

Just a nice piece of animal skin, or fur, covering the venerable parts.

Better be careful with that need for DNA to assert nationality. We wouldn't want you to lose that passport you have, eh?

You omitted the anal bleaching.

Why?

I wish the immigrants into UK looked like that.

IMHO. She's a lot prettier than some of the plastic surgery enhanced boatfaces that have been winning these competitions recently. There are some Indian beauties.

Plastic surgery should disqualify someone from competing otherwise it's just a competition between surgeons.

This is new to me NL.

My ex Fatima was hairy. Soft, luscious hair. That you just had to stroke.

I came home from the pub one evening. I could see from the flickering of the TV that she was laying on the bed naked. I quickly dropped off me clothes and lay down next to her.

My hand began to wander. Geez Fats; I said. You are getting so hairy down there. But nice soft hair; just lovely. Fatima replied; that's the cat, I'm further over.

i don't give a tos whether she is Indian / Thai , all Indian or both  I would just  love to wake up- in the morning and look at her next to me in my bed  with the light coming in through the window.

What has my DNA to do with my nationality or passport???

You can  your nationality these days if you want. Look At kamala Harris during the US elections when just to confuse Trump  went from Indian to black negro .

She does have big ears though, like those of an elderly farang.

Nothing. Neither has her lack of Thai DNA got anything to do with Praveenar Singh representing Thailand.
