Thai- German Actress Arrested After Alcohol Test Refusal

Featured Replies

Honest question...  Can a driver in Thailand refuse a roadside breathalyzer and insist on a more accurate test at the station?

In this case, I'll bet it's thrown out on a technicality, like the popo didn't have all the requirements for a roadside check.  And even if it's not thrown out, it'll be negotiated down to a few hundred baht fine. Maybe a few thousand, which is still negligible to them.

Their kind of money gets you real good lawyers.  And not just in Thailand.

4 people in a 911 convertible?

a Porsche 911 can fit four people, as most models are configured as a "2+2" seating arrangement, but it is not ideal for adults in the rear seats, which are better suited for children or as storage. However, some 911 models, like the GT3, GT3 RS, Dakar, and S/T, are strictly two-seaters and do not have rear seats.

I love to see those who believe they’re above the law because of their wealth get slapped down and get a reality check.

Sadly this will probably get cleared up by pathetic grovelling and the exchanging of a few brown envelopes ensuring no further investigation ensuring all the usual smiling faces bull crap. Maybe she should get rid of the car too, it’ll be an obvious target for cops in the future.

Looks like one of the female friends with him told the Thai guy in English to shut up.  Total loss of face.

Looks like he is suffering from Napoleon Syndrome, he should be careful, his girlfriend even outweighs him, he couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag.

This is the problem with some entitled Thais do you know who I am plus friends in high places routine

Flaunting their wealth maybe a bit of jail time needed

Which won't happen 🤔

Power influence and money 💰 counts for a lot in Thailand

I hope justice will be served.

Otherwise it's just another example why police is a helpless crowd.

Blurred Number Plate....no single digit 🤫

I recognize that car and  I have often seen it, but had no idea who owned it.

Are you serious? A Porsche is nothing compared to the Maserati's, Lambo's and other super cars that are driven around Bangkok.

I'd like to know how much will be placed in the brown paper bag to resolve this issue. 💲💲💲💲💲💲💲💲

Mr Asmakorn reminds me of the son of a Thai property developer I knew 20 years ago, child like, yelling, screaming.

Bloody strange people.

No brown bag, they'll get fined and pay the fine.

Yeah, no blatant display of wealth like that in the West :stoner:

I know a HI-SO thai guy who got stopped and was well over the limit, he admits it, he spent the night in jail and went to the courts in the morning, 5000 baht fine, cheap I would say

Thai police are quite gentle in their approach. In situations like these, they could benefit from adopting a tougher stance similar to that of U.S. law enforcement.

He’d be on the ground with shooters trained at him.

Gee they mucked this up.

it is usually a very simple procedure.

Blow in the breathalyzer, act surprised you are a little over, say sorry and pull out some cash or offer to go to the nearest ATM and then drive home and everyone happy.

Both Ms Broenner and Mr Asmakorn were granted temporary release on bail and are scheduled to return to Wang Thonglang police station on 25 August to formally hear the charges before being taken to court.

No blood test for her then to prove DUI ?

You never stop learning...

Interior: Digital gauge cluster, 18-way adjustable sport seats (optional), and optional rear seats.

Probably some "child seats" like in the 2½ door pickups.

Narrow thin benches.

Price starts at 19 million ฿

Because they inherited them from their parents ….who may be parts and princesses too at their prime.

I am very sorry but if you don't know who you are you will have to accompany me to the station until we verify who you are.

If one can afford a car and the plate; one can also afford an Alphard/H1 van and a driver when going out on the piss. No excuse.

Although having the driver present if the lady is not your wife does add a layer of complexity.🤔🙈

Last time I was in a 911 ragtop was the '90s in SoCal.  No back seats, and just enough room for a couple of bags of groceries.  I was surprised that back seats are an option.

Still, looks a little tight...  But probably fine if you're all drunk.

Edit:  Apparently, prices in the USA start at $140K USD if anyone wants to know how bad Thailand's tariffs are hosing western car companies and customers...

Yeah I remember that joke...

Liked the Gorbachev joke about him driving the Limo too

I got another joke. This guy goes for a job interview. White collar office job. Anyway the interviewer, after asking all the usual questions, throws in a curl ball question, " What is your worst trait"? He responds by saying, "I cannot lie".

The interviewer says," I think that is a positive trait". The job applicant quickly responds with, " I don't give a f.ck what you think"😆🤣

Licence plate...."สส 5" (SS 5)... How cheeky for a half German in a German car....Police officer: Madam, have you had any alcohol tonight? Drivers licence please......Half German: How dare you, vie are ze SS, vie vill ask ze questions!

"We are the elite so above the law".

She will be dumped for acting maybe - bad optics - and maybe they will both split as he made things worse.

So sick of these hi-so <deleted> thinking they're above the law.
