The Red down thumb

I noticed some people are overusing it possibly making posters feel uncomfortable

Could I perhaps ask the person doing it to have some dignity and respect and be aware many of us suffer PTSD myself not only being attacked by a ladyboy but also a monkey earlier this year up in Lopburi where I was slapped on the back of the head and despite Lopburi police department being a big police station I wasnt taken seriously and forced them to finally send a patrol car out there .

So I may repeat about the use of the Red down thumb please it can cause posters anxiety and even depression

Thumbs down , thumbs up and other emojis are just anonymous comments and should just be ignored.

You seem to have problems every trip, maybe Thailand and in particular Pattaya is not the place for you to have a happy retirement.

For the sake of completeness please tell us how many 'thumbs down' you have posted this trip.

  • Don't worry about the posters using the red thumb down, they're just losers the best I can ascertain. They're hunched over their laptop in their 25M hellhole with no relief in sight.

  • Are you crying out for attention?

  • Only the best most truthful posts are worthy of the thumbs down. If your post doesnt get at least 10 thumbs down you need to try harder

It's unfortunate that I have had a lot of "bad luck" on trips to Thailand and stressful situations

Although last year I took a side trip to the Philippines where I later found out my Commonwealth bank travel card was used in the UK although I had possession of it

I had to lodge a complaint with both the bank and police in Australia and the UK

Or maybe he is making it all up.

Sounds like there's a dark cloud over your head following you around.

Would you like us to do a gofundme to get you an amulet?

Just so I'm clear.  Did the patrol car go looking for the ladyboy, or the monkey?

At least I wasn't locked up in that dreaded View talay 2B this time

Yes, that would be very stressful

I was nearly brutally attacked in this very area by a ladyboy who tried to hug me ,

How can one be 'nearly' brutally attacked? You either were or you weren't.

The Op is a better storyteller then Has Christian Andersen. Surely all made up.

One solution would be for you to stop starting so many silly, pointless, threads, and answering so many of them. Then your anxiety and PTSD or whatever, would not exist. Try it........Please!

If a poster is writing bs posts time after time , why aren't we allowed to down thumb them all ?

That is NOT stalking, that is a reaction to the non stop bs.

Thumbs down should not be limited or taken away.

If the snowflakes can't handle it , don't post.

Hit me with a 1000 thumbs down , I don't give a F.

Sometimes I do wonder why they gave it on some neutral posts.

Occasionally I'll report a thumbs down on an entirely innucuous post. It's hit and miss on the red thumb removal.

Reporting a thumbs down is pretty childish , even on an entirely innucuous post.

red thumb, what's that then?

Even more childish to do it in the first place.

Let me explain the thumbs down I just gave you ..........

If you stop starting silly threads, we won't be able to down vote you.

You're making all of us feel uncomfortable.

We're merely returning the favour.

I believe it's to keep you off the leaderboard.

Popular posters appear to lose position by thumbs downs.

So the lefties club together, arranged by PM or email, to make sure they win the daily popularity contest.

Obviously they can't beat Ballpoint, who wins every day just by posting silly jokes he collects on the internet.

But if you want to keep Tug, BLM, Will B, Harris, etc. off the charts, you need to give them plenty of thumbs down every time they post.

To be fair, I give and receive plenty of thumbs down, and because I'm not cowardly, I even post that I've made them.

A red thumbs down is meaningless, no reason to stress over it.

I for one would like the Moderator to explain what the emoji’s definitions are

The Thumbs Down emoji….is it thumbs down to the answer someone gives, is it thumbs down for the whole post, is it (as I suspect, being used to only harrase someone - it is obvious someone is using it discredit certain people, you can see thumbs down on dang near every post some people make

All the rest are obvious,,,,,,I would like to see the Confused emoji reincarnated, because a lot of the posts, and answers to posts are definately confusing!!
