Trump - Don't Talk to Me That Way

Agree with Trump. Show respect. Reporters are like waiters.

I guess I can understand why you think that way, coming from a land where---to some extent---your fellow citizens still revere people for the "great accomplishment" of simply being born. You seem to accept your inherent inferiority. Good for you. Other people don't feel that way, and hold their leaders to accountability.

The US is not a monarchy. Elected officials serve the people. The US also---at least for the time being---still enjoys a free press. Obviously that rubs the thin skin crybaby Trump the wrong way.

If ANY question is less than groveling sycophancy, the whining Trump objects. He considers anything that doesn't praise him as the Second Coming out of bounds. He's incredibly weak, pretending he's a tough guy, when in reality he's just a bloated blubberbutt bone spurs coward.

The job of the press is to ask questions about which people want to know answers. It is not about bowing to a crybaby dictator wannabe. If Trump doesn't like it, he should resign and go hang around with the members of his Cabinet (who would also resign), where they can worship his fragile ego with their unctuous drivel until Trump finally passes.

Wrong. Obama created an anti american sentiment among americans that has manifested into what the left has become today

In reality, the only ‘anti-American’ sentiment was the racism Obama exposed — the kind Dear Leader and MAGAstan wear like a badge.

A youtube from 5 years ago, which left out what was said by the reporter.

Another clickbait thread by the MAGA OP

Yeah sorry it popped in my feeds.

I thought it was recent. I didn't think to look for the full version.

Has generated some good responses anyway.

I'm not really a MAGA, but I think the attacks on Trump are over the top.

I almost hate to disagree with you, but you’re right.
It’s just a shame that half the country doesn’t care about his lies. That’s America’s most pressing problem, not illegal aliens.

Speaking of "illegal aliens", how many white employers has ICE rounded up? They should be driving their unmarked vans filled with masked stormtroopers through the tony neighborhoods of Dallas and Atlanta and Birmingham and Phoenix and other cities where the owners of companies employing undocumented aliens live. They should be raiding Sunday afternoon garden parties or smashing through the doors of Country Clubs.

There's a hypocrite who began employing undocumented aliens way back in the early 1980s, when he was building an eponymous tower in NYC (using hundreds of undocumented Poles). He continued to employ undocumented workers at his wedding planner facility and golf courses in FL and NJ up until 2017. He faced zero charges for doing that, just as no one owning a farm or textile factory or abattoir or cleaning company or landscape company, who knowingly employs undocumented aliens, is ever held accountable.

But as you know, the "border issue" is just a cudgel to scare MAGAs into thinking there will be a rapist or murdering Brown person hiding under their bed. The MAGAs could have done much more effective border control if they simply began arresting those who employ undocumented workers. But since the white business owners are part of the Donor Class, they are exempt from the law.

Just by reading the comments here you can see that nowadays, respect and manners are products of by gone era,

and people will to any length to get a response from the person, and some of those guys are really going over the limit to get it,

So Trump is right, show respect and behave and you don't have it in you' go to school and learn some/

In a way any foreign country does have a vote, whether to support the US position or those against the US and the line against the US seems to be getting longer and longer nowadays.

Trump has always  called people names, ie. crooked Hilary, sleepy Joe. You earn respect, you don't just get given it because of your job title.

I dare you to go into a courtroom and mouth off to a judge that hasn't earned your respect.

Bring bail money if you try it.

They were too busy groveling at his feet worshipping him.

If that were true, he could have easily seized power on January 6th, 2021.

Unfortunately Trump always plays by the rules. He does not have the dictator instinct.

Who needs a strategy?

That's been the DNC's mantra.  Who needs a strategy?

How's that working out for them?

Trump is always angered by truth. In particular when it's about his ridiculous claim that the 2020 election was rigged by massive voter fraud and that he actually won it! 🤣

You are not showing proper respect to the President of the United States of America.

Disgraceful.

"proper" respect makes this a valid response but DJT has lost any possibility of getting "proper" respect as he has shown he doesn't diserve itIMHO

You know very well when the January 6th uprising happened in 2021 he could have seized power by force. Instead he told the protesters to disperse.

Did he play by the rules or not?

Mussolini would have been at the Capitol seizing power. Trump has too much to lose.

Reporters are the same as all other folks, they have a right and a responsibility to ask questions, it's their job.

Freedom of speech!

No, exactly the same. If he called me crooked Baht I would not respect him, although that doesn't mean I would mouth off at him, because that's not the sort of thing I do. Would you respect a judge that gives you a death sentence for a parking fine? Lol

I respect some U.K. Royals but not others.  My respect is not based on status.

You're missing the point.  No matter what you think of Trump, the office of the president demands respect.  You're not respecting the man.  You're respecting the millions of voters who put him in that office, and the many more millions of patriots that fought and died to protect the institutions that allow us an elected president.  No matter the man that occupies the Oval Office.

That's no excuse for the way he talks to reporters. He's a wannabe King with the world's frailest ego, a pathetic man-child. Lock him up, for frack's sake!

He's a shambolic disgrace and any American that still supports him either missed or failed civics class.

Wait, what?? According the resident (mainly) UK MAGA fanboys the Europeans love Trump! Have we been lied to??

He can demand what he wants. I'm British and there's no reason for me respect the leader of a foreign government if I dont think them worthy of respect. I think the same of Putin and Kim Jong-Il. I leave the kowtowing to politicians, diplomats and flunkies. Trump himself has shown very little respect for foreign leaders who don't fit his worldview.

You cannot demand other people's respect. If you do it's just fawning.

Fair enough, Trump is at the higher end of the spectrum, I grant you that.

However, it's not as if he's pretending to be holier than thou, he's not pretending to be honest in the slightest.

In a way, if you know someone always lies, it makes them more reliable.

That is some of the sickest, most twisted logic I have ever read, and a damning description of the guy that has been given the greatest responsibility imaginable.

Where are you getting your information from, Just pulling it out of your butt?  Your screen name is appropriate, so at least you got that right.

But he's not demanding respect.  He couldn't care less if they respect him.  In fact, he likes it when idiots don't.  That means he's pissing off the right people.

He's demanding they "don't talk to me that way" with an implied "while you're addressing the president of the USA".    It's his duty to protect the institution of the presidency.
