Trump is overly criticized

Featured Replies

Would it help if i admitted that many criticisms of Trump are valid? If yes could you also admit that it doesnt matter because there was/will be no better alternative any time soon? At the same time while the lefts intentions started out good, do you believe that they have gone a bit too far in their altruism?

You dont trust anyone who DOESNT drink? But you would prefer to trust someone who drinks and then puts other peoples lives at risk driving like you do?

But hes australian so doesnt bother him. I dont think he cares about any western country

The media over the past decade or so has gotten worse and more narrativey. I presume that the decline of newspapers and television has contributed to high quality journalists moving into other better paying fields. I think these days most western countries have gotten enveloped in culture wars and racial politics to the point they've become ungovernable (communalism used to be the main sticking point that people would give South Asian politics but now I'd apply it to Europe and the West generally too).

Many of us wouldn't even know where to start when it comes to responding to a post like this. I think if anything the media is not critical enough, the public is not critical enough, his supporters are nowhere near critical enough, nor independent minded enough, congress and the senate are accepting his policy laying down, no matter how destructive, and no matter how hurtful his policy is.

So no, if anything he deserves far more criticism than he gets. He hates it, as his ego is very fragile, and Trump is the ultimate snowflake and he loves to play victim. But, he earns it, he richly deserves it, and it is part of the function of a democratic nation.

OK — name them.

The critics are the media. The media generates a lot of the hot air that fires up social media and the left-wing voices that hate Trump. The decline of the media and the rise of communal-style politics go hand-in-hand with all that hot air.

None of the choices currently being presented in the UK right now seems capable to take the country out of the mess its in.

The US on the other hand has many capable politicians.

What would help is corporate news actually reporting the facts on Trump’s failings and challenging the lies coming from his and members of his administration.

No, there's at least a couple of guys on AN who are bigger liars than Trump.

But I won't mention their names.

Exactly.
Trump has been boiling the frog for a decade now — slowly numbing the world to his corruption and absurdity — but nothing will dull the pain to come.

And the amazing thing is that his supporters literally do not have a clue, they will not see it coming until it slaps them up the side of the head. Even now they have no idea who this creep is.

I have to give you Trump have many valid points, but as an Presidential character and a role model, he fails big time.

If I had kids, I would ba ashamed admitting he doing any good at all. He is a good role model for being despicable.

Who wants to be associated with him and what his government stands for?

You are only jealous because he looks better than you, be honest.

Exactly. Hardly any of the Indians left.

Most of us Brits are indigenous with a small minority of immigrants.
