Drunken Brit’s Bar Attack in Pattaya, Then Burns Wife’s Clothes

Read my post again. I stand by what I have said.

I know how some feel, but prostitution isn't good for anyone besides those who profit from the trade. The women and men involved profit, at a cost, but the damage it does to their health, minds and anyone around them isn't worth the risk involved selling your body, which should be a precious thing, to just anyone with money. Whoever says they're happy is lying to you and themselves. Most who use prostitutes don't care about those involved, and are only there for their own pleasure. And they don't understand why the prostitutes got involved in the first place, as it isn't a priority to them anyway.

  • So he found out the Thai guy wasn't his wifes brother?

  • The Brit obviously did not appreciate to suddenly discover getting scammed by the wife and her brother maybe ? Of course it does not justify any form of violence.

  • Thais (both women and men) can be very treacherous - perhaps the most brazen criminals I’ve ever met. Especially those men — scoundrels willing to live off a woman who is deceiving her loving husband.

And then Thailand goes bankrupt.

There's not enough industries besides bars to keep everyone employed.

You're fired!

Despite the fact that this is what you personally experience, and the headlines keep shouting about, tourism and hospitality are nowhere near the main drivers of the Thai economy. Nearly 60% comes from exports.

This is from AI.

I guess the exact numbers are impossible to know and depends where you get your information.

But if it's close to 25%, that's a major part of the economy.

And projected to go up to 30% by 2030.

Well does 104 incidents of Brits a year sound like a small small percentage? And there are many more Chinese coming here, yet we hear of fewer incidents. Also many more Malaysians.... never hear anything of them smashing up bars. Top visiting tourists are Chinese, Malaysians, Russians, Indians and South Koreans, Brits are not even in the top five until it comes to smashing up bars.

My countrymen appear to mostly be brats!

It sounds like a small percentage when just in the first 6 months of 2024, 485,093 British people travelled to Thailand and there were 100'ish incidents. By stating how few incidents there were you've proven what I originally said.

Drunks think bar girls should act like girlfriends. But they couldn't find girlfriends back in Britain.

Utter pish.

There is plenty of work out there.

Issue is many Thai people are too lazy to work 48hr a week for minimum wage.

Hence labour hire companies flourish with people brought in from Cambodia and Laos to fill the positions.

Utter Pish a few Thousand Chinese decide to stop coming and its a dissaster for tourism according to tourism chiefs. Why do you think they run round like headless Chickens when numbers drop, and what would happen in tourists areas where tourism is reliant. What could a Samui local do to earn money if the tourism left, buy a boat and go fishing ?

Would not be the first time someone has had to move to get a job.

But yeah Thai's are lazy like that.

Bit of a commute though Ralfy bearing in mind the mainland is 90 minutes away by ferry. Tourism is the lifeblood of Samui and other such islands. It goes without saying that a large number of people would prefer to live and work where they were born and brought up and where their family are.

Definitely rage.

Rage, in this case, is just all too apparent.

He never learned how to channel rage, which is most unfortunate for him.

Also, probably, he made a few bad decisions along the way.

This is sad, really, since extraneous forces to himself, might have influenced him, when young, and pushed him off the track, for the rest of his life.

He is not alone.

This is the shame of our predicament.

Where in my post did I mention commute ?

You didn't. You mentioned moving away to find work. Hence my comment about people wanting to stay where they were born and living where their family are (and where tourism happens to be THE main industry).

You was just your usual simplistic, flippant self.

Again a Brit.

I'm sorry to say but in most of these incidents here on AN Brits are involved.

I feel pity for all the nice and behaving ones.

You shouldn’t do because all the nice ones are back in England.

Looking at the fuzzy photo, the UK really took a hit when this guy turned his back on blighty never to return.

I like his style, and I'm turning to google lens to see if I can track down his clothing brands to emulate him.

So just supposition on why, could be for many reasons I stuck to the post information.

For whatever reason I said he's now out of control acting on emotions and should be removed before he does something really stupid.

You can have your view, I'll stick with mine

Seems a fair approach.... taking on board the reported information and commenting, rather than fabricating scenarios that are works of fiction based on nothing but an agenda.

Nah its because the neither  brits and the israelis are not a protected species people can criticise them, slander them, insult them and even attack them with little need to worry about consequences, that applies to journalists and the media too.

Not as far as aseannow is concerned.

Then report them, they will get quickly hidden. Not needed in a thread about a drunken Brit!

That's obviously not a relationship, but you wouldn't have a clue.

In Thailand (?!) and judging this. Too funny

I did not "report" people when I was a school boy and have no intention of starting now. Neither have I ever put anybody on ignore, but I admit there have been times when I came close

I find some the idiots on this forum quite entertaining although some are just annoying

There is nothing about a scam in the OP, do you know the guy or are you making things up?

Empirical research or observations (I'll let you look it up in a online dictionnary), leads to the suggestive conclusions,  stated in the previous post.
