These scumbags the last time I was in Bangkok were everywhere in low Sukhumvit. I was actively trying to avoid them. They were not shy about their business. I always thought they were operating with protection from higher ups.

It could never exist any other way. And when it's time to clean things up, to recast Thailand's image, they are disposable. But then they are easily replaced once the short media spectacle is over.

A fun thing to do is yell "Ya duu min pratet Thai" (Dont insult Thailand) at them in front of Moto guys. I get the impression that the Motoguys would love nothing more than to do their thing on them.

Good to see the Thai police getting a bust but this has to somewhat reflect on the 60 day free visa & the lack of effective screening, especially on those from Nigeria! Also lots of African working girls around, given how they standout it shouldn't be hard to identify them.

Yes of course, but the kingpins are likely Chinese either safely hidden in Thailand, and/or still in China. The biggest operators are undoubtedly in mainland China, so unfortunately there will always new operations springing up like weeds in spite of the best efforts by police.

So many things wrong about this story?  You tell me there are only to packets between 8 sellers?  Think they're splitting the profits?

Wild they are storing evidence in their mouth.  How many can you store?  Guess some customers end up snorting saliva.  Can you get high snorting Nigerian Saliva?

Why are the uncover constructions guys making the arrest?  They should disappear to the station and uniformed or undercover officers step in to make the surprise arrest.

How fast can Nigerians run?  I would think faster than the BiB.

I'm super happy now that I will not be bothered by Nigerians on Soi 11, only Filipina Lady Boys and Bombay Buffet touts.

The immigration police and Thai law is probably at fault . Apparently Nigerians have no special restrictions. They can easily get a tourist or study visa.You would have to be blind not to see what these * tourists* and * students* are up to ! I came in early 80s to Bangkok and that was my first surprise. I was staying in the Atlanta and on my daily walkabouts would be approached by these people selling drugs . As a bit of a newcomer I was  very wary of these people and kept well out of their way.

Since those days and my yearly Christmas and New Year stay in Bangkok, I’ve often seen that the situation has become worse and worse. There are also many more lady prostitutes than years back. 
It’s a very bad look for Thailand and especially Bangkok.They are turning certain Sois into slum areas.
