OK - Then WHAT News Source Can Everyone Trust?

I don't believe theirs a single news source that doesn't put a spin on things.

Spin and catchphrases is what the media counts on for their loyal followers to latch on to, opposed to empirical thought and process of deduction.

  • Its not even about what they cover most of the time thats so egregious. Its about all the crap they COVERED UP during the Biden admin. Failing to report news is worse than the fake news so common toda

Bias is easy to deal with, just use multiple news sources.

A far bigger problem across all corporate media is ‘both siding’.

Both siding relies on false equivalence and is at the root of news sources Ed failing to challenge the extremists on the political spectrum.

I am sick and tired of people throwing poop when they see a news source like Fox (biggest liars) or MSNBC (close 2nd for being liars).

Can anyone name a trusted news source that garners credibility from a majority of sensible people?

The most trusted news you can be sure of is what you see with your own eyes, anything else, us a hearsay that have been

through the 'news' wringer a hundred times and each wringer add it's won pinch of salt.

Fox News never let's the truth get in the way of a good story. Everything they report is their take or Uncle Ruperts take on everything. It's never the news as it ought to be but their comments.

Examples, LOL. You do know the difference between News and Opinion shows

No US news that's or sure, their jouno's just copy/paste each other and their reporters hardly ever ask real hard questions.

None ... I actually find RT News to be the most accurate, less bias.

Some of the commentators on Fox, when I see on YT, seem spot on.  Nothing on MSM, so I no long read, watch, and haven't for decades, as goes against all I learned before a few corporations bought up all the programming.  One of the reason I stopped watching TV, or even owned one.

Really is just one echo box, left & right version of  ... Op Eds ... as you really can't call it news anymore.

Not perfect, but if you want to find out what is going on in the UK from a political point of view, take a look at Sky News Australia, very different from the trash that we get from Sky UK. Like I said, it is not perfect, but compared to the UK media and the despots at the BBC, it is a refreshing change - You can even get a bit of a laugh with their "Lefties Losing It" and "The World's Gone Mad" broadcasts.

Are the UK media keeping their citizens informed about the current invasion? If leftists are in power there could be civil war going on and you wouldnt be hearing about it in the news

Yes. It is widely covered and much discussed, both in newspapers, broadcast media and on the internet. It is a matter of very great interest to many of the population. There is a wide spectrum of views carried by the media, some cover various opinions, some support particular views. If you think for example that it is an invasion, and fear/enthuse about civil war, there are platforms, some reasoned, some frankly frothy mouthed, to which you can subscribe. Others, most, right and left leaning, take a more nuanced approach.

What we don't have is, practically speaking, any real attempts by government, or the "executive", to shut down debate or remove/silence correspondants through commercial or political pressure. I would suggest that is a big difference.

There's no such thing as "the news". All sources have intentional motives so YOU dear viewer are responsible for curating as many sources as you personally require.

Motives are to scare you into staying home and watching their ads! All crap.

It's not a news service, but it shows a collection of news sources and lets you make up your own mind by showing where the sources sit on political (and other) spectrums.

I wouldn´t bother so much about that. People who state such thinks, usually just have a different opinion than the news, and that´s why they want to make the source look bad.

Also common sense goes a long way, something this forum really lacks as well

You don't have to lick a turd to know its <deleted>.

In their minds, many expat Americans have never left America.

One man's common sense is another man's groundless radical, commie, anti-Semitic, unpatriotic, leftist, antifa, trans, liberal fear.

Grok is the nr 1 filtered news source already as most sources today are sourced from Twitter and the rest of the Internet (or what is left of it).

There is plenty of good news however it is all behind pay walls and most people are too cheap. I personally pay for bloomberg and financial times, never get the nonsense and always get the facts (big tip, black friday is coming, my annual extension at 70-80-90% off, I never pay more for online stuff). That is why i always know the future already before it is msm news or some silly politics online months later.

As an old bloke told me many years ago about newspapers. "The only truth in a newspaper is the price and the date, everything else is opinion".

I hear you. Im american so Biden directly affected OUR lives in a negative way. Sorry trump is not working out for non americans, i dont think thats his job

Biden "affected" your life by ending the Trump Recession. Biden took the 6.8% unemployment Trump left him, and gave you the longest period in 64 years of UE below 4%. Biden gave you the best economic growth since the Clinton years of the late 1990s.

I'm going to bet you will say "INFLATION!". Well, Trump ran up a new $8,400,000,000,000 in National Debt, a 41% increase over the combined total of the first 44 Presidents, and the equivalent of $25,000 for every man, woman and child in the US. Perhaps, just maybe, go out on a limb, make a guess....that all that new money MIGHT have led to the inflation Biden had to tame?

Of course inflation is already higher under Trump than what Biden left him, job growth slowed to a crawl---and if the govt was open we'd likely see it negative---and economic growth has slowed.

Yes, Biden really hurt you. How can you ever recover?

You need to read/listen to a number of reports from individual source then take the common bits as probably being true

There aren't any.  Billionaire are buying up media corporations which are already stove-piped with a single narrative.  And then define "Trusted News" in this day and age.  There really isn't trusted news, there is only "The one and only official narrative."  This is why astute citizens should access multiple news sources as well as independent social media commentators and use their own brains and analytical abilities to define what "Truth" is for themselves.

This so-called "balanced journalism" make me want to gag and 🤮

With billionaires buying up media corporations, this only gets worse over time.  This consolidation of new media is what is truly "a danger to our democracy," which by the way is not the form of government the United States was founded under.  We ARE NOT a Democracy, we are a constitutional federal republic with a representative government.  Well, we are suppose to be.  In reality the current form of government in the United States is a Plutocracy where the billionaire class captures the electoral process.  Controlling the national media resources is part and parcel of a Plutocratic government ability to maintain control.

Why worry about other people? It's always good to stay broad-minded, and follow different media and opinions. (Doesn't mean that one has to agree with each and every perspective.)

And most others that lean left.

For me, 'MSM' = 'M Stupid M'.   If only exposing yourself to one biased side of anything, well, nuff said.

I don't think people realize, just how much is edited on MSM to fit Soros narrative.  Fox commentators, and podcasters such as Kelly point these out all the time ... but ... if you think they are fake new, and never watch, then you'll never see the real 'fake' news exposed.
