It reminds me of a Christmas tale of there being no room at the inn for Mary & Joseph.

They all had to doss in a stable.

That seems strange to me.  I've been to K-Bank and SCB many times for various transactions, and I have never seen them check my visa/extension of stay.  They have only looked at the main page with my name, and passport info.  And they have never take a photocopy of my visa/extension of stay.  Never.

Went to my bank last Wednesday to get a credit advice receipt for a foreign currency transfer. They were not interested in looking at my passport.

Were you sodomized in jail?  Seems like a stiff penalty for being a ham radio operator.  The ones I've known were geeky but law abiding and conscientious.

Bangkok bank. Don't know why they didn't want to see it, they usually do. 

If some money is sent to your bank, you can withdraw, right? Please DM me and I will gladly help. Absolutely no reason why you should not have a roof over your head and food for the next 10 days. I don't live in Pattaya but will certainly help monetarily. I know you have not asked for money but it would take care of this problem.

Can't say you are wrong, but I use my bank app to request a statement, which arrives as an email.

I don't know about the bank informing the police regarding expired visas, but every time I do a over the counter transaction at the Bangkok Bank I am always asked for my passport. This has happened in BKK, Samui, Surin, Hua Hin, Roi Et

My oldest daughter is in Buriram and he has a family and already has problem with her son.

Again: I am not here for money at all: just a floor and a roof. That's it. 

Last night I slept in a bus. Tonight I find a place for few days.

The bank will take a copy of the info page on your Passport. I have never had to show my current visa. Bank officers will not be able to understand or interpret the visa information. The bank will not check the visa in your passport or copy it.

Something has changed recently especially from Bangkok Bank. People without non-immigrant visas or better are actively being DE-BANKED.

Can you access your account online?  If so, and you have access to a printer, you can get the information from the bank and print it.  If not, updating your passbook would suffice. If so, and you have an ATM card, you could do it that way.  

 

All the best, and as to your daughter not wanting to get involved, I can understand.  My daughteer wanted nothing to do with me, not because she was angry at me, but if her mother found out, then all hell would have broken loose in Canada with me sitting here in Thailand.

I am also law abiding and conscientious.  Unfortunately, the police are ignorant of the law.
