What is the greatest 3-Minute Experience of your life (so far)?

Featured Replies

Dear Folks,

Think about it.

How old are you?

And, what has been, to date, the greatest 3-Minute Experience of your life?

Are you even able to answer this question, at least without a great deal of thought?

As for me:  This is a no-brainer.

I could tell you mine.

But first, tell me yours.

My greatest 3-Minute Experience happens to have taken place in Yokohama, Japan, around the year 1971.  And, my experience has nothing to do with those old Seiko watches on sale, at the time, nor cameras, nor REEL-to-REEL Tape Decks.

My 3-Minute Experience, which has lasted me a lifetime, was far more profound.

I am not saying that I expect any great replies from this group.

Yet, it’s impossible to say that there might not be at least one, or two of you, who might cough up a few.

I just thought that I would cast out this question, on a Wednesday night, a chilly Wednesday, might I add.

Reply or not.

I will not beg.

Best regards,

Gamma

What do you think?

  • My greatest 3-Minute experience was clicking on this topic and then clicking back off of it as soon as possible. I guess it all took place in far less than 3 minutes. Does that still count?

Re your OP Certainly not wasting those three minutes of my precious time reading your usual "click bait" garbage!

  • Ridiculous waste of time.

Yes.

But only if you spent a full 3-Minutes.

Certainly not wasting those three minutes of my precious time reading your usual "click bait" garbage!

2 shags with a one minute rest in between.

Honestly speaking, you are one of the few who reliably replies to my garbage Topics, when nobody else will.

This is why there will always be room for you in my heart.

By the way: Are you from Scotland, or someplace similar?

It has always been one of my life's goals to go trout fishing in Scotland.

If I had been born in Scotland, I probably would have never left that place.

I am NOT joking, this time.

When you are paying by the minute like that I would forego the rest and shoot for maximum return on investment. 3 at least, maybe 4...

Ridiculous waste of time.

And yet here we are commenting.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Gamma is obviously having conversations with Grok or some other AI. This could have serious implications regarding the soundness of all/any future AI conclusions.

Somebody should warn Elon. coffee1

Masturbation takes me about 3 minutes.

So, I guess I can say I have had many many great 3 minute experiences.

It was just after my travels through the birth canal, when my head popped out, and I could see I was entering a Big Wide Wonderful World. I'm still a bit vague on some of the details.

By all appearances, most likely from Cantankerville Australia

Mine was back in the early 80's. A set of twins while stationed in the Philippines...ok so maybe like 90 secs but since it was twins, it's 90sec x 2 = 3 minutes. 😉

A 3 minute orgasm back in 1994

As you stated, it is a difficult question. 20 minutes would have been easier I think. 3 minutes is too long for many, like the first time I jumped from a high cliff into a stream and to short for many others. Many above have commented on sex, but a 3 minute or less orgasm(s) I don't find memorable and would probably be quite embarrassing, albeit it an efficient use of time. I can't think of any 3 minutes things that were worth remembering...

For me it's gotta be that time that Bob Smith gave me a full, 3-minute reach around together with Harrisfan going hard on taint-patrol the whole time. I'll never forget it, best nutt ever, it's what dreams are made of!

That's a toss up, and 'leap of faith' kind of thing, couple come mind ...

... "A static line skydive typically lasts for five to eight minutes in total, from the moment you exit the aircraft until you land. The parachute ride itself generally takes around three to five minutes" ...

,,, "An average bungee jump's freefall lasts only a few seconds 4-8 seconds, but the entire experience, including bounces and swinging, might stretch the whole event to maybe 30-60 seconds before recovery, with the total adventure, jump to ground 3 - 10 minutes." ...

Also got bounced out of a raft, while white water rafting, and too funny. Had to ride that one out in the water for a a few minute. Note to self: sit in the front next time, not that back.

Yet you Scottie refuse to do other things with your time

Surely it's not too much to ask you to use a treadmill, please !!

The problem I have is with the length of time and the "greatest". The "greatest" was a 15-second out-of-body experience I had after reading one of Jiddu Krishnamurti's books. The other was when I almost drowned after getting caught in an undertow in Mexico, that having 4 meter waves slam me into the ground, just to pull me back and do the same thing a few more times before tossing me onto the beach. If it had lasted 3 minutes, I would had an out-of-body experience of a different kind.

Waking up, after an MRI scan and realizing I was not dead after a work accident, when a crane's rear wheel ran over me due to a safety switch not working, it started in gear.. It took 2hrs to stabilize me enough, still in the yard I eventually passed out (a doctor had to come) to transport me to hospital One of these. Broken femur, big toe, and worst of all pelvis both sides, I'm 74 and still kicking it happened some 20yrs ago..
