Hua Hin police arrested 36-year-old Rattikorn Yingyot for the murder of hotel receptionist Wirin at Best LD Hotel. The incident, which occurred around 3:15 am on January 19, resulted in the victim's death from severe head injuries inflicted by an iron bar. Rattikorn was apprehended near railway tracks five kilometers from the crime scene.

The attack was recorded on CCTV, showing Rattikorn pacing before assaulting Wirin as she slept. After the attack, he stole two mobile phones and a black bag. Rattikorn, originally from Nakhon Si Thammarat, had a criminal history including sexual assault and theft in Nakhon Ratchasima and had been living as a homeless person in Hua Hin for several months.

Police tracked Rattikorn and arrested him at 3:50 pm after a day-long search. Found hiding in grass, he initially resisted arrest, trying to disguise himself. Officers recognized him and detained him on the spot. At the time of arrest, Rattikorn was in different clothing, attempting to avoid detection, and had a mobile phone with him, claiming he found it on a beach. It remains unclear if the stolen items were recovered.

Tensions rose during the arrest as relatives of the victim attempted to confront Rattikorn. Police quickly escorted him to a station to ensure his safety. Legal proceedings and further investigations are currently underway, reported The Thaiger.

Key Takeaways

  • Hua Hin police arrested the murder suspect within a day.

  • The victim, a hotel receptionist, was killed in her sleep.

  • Suspect Rattikorn has a history of criminal offenses.

This is where the plead guilty 50% discount on sentencing should be scrapped, its a disgraceful rule, murder so hideous should be 30 years min, let him rot..

These cases are let em escape n run one warning shot then one death Shot BANG !!BANG.

Poor woman, glad they got the animal who did this, but is there any context to this story, was it a random robbery and murder, or were they known to each other previously? And what nationality was the assailant?

The leader of Reform UK is as reliable as a wet paper bag, but one of his policies is that if someone is convicted of a crime three times then they receive an all-life sentence, having proved by then that they are unable to live in civilised society. I'm all for that. Prompted by, among other things, a young woman being murdered near where I used to live by someone with 38 previous offences who was still allowed to walk the streets. This piece of human garbage should never be allowed out of jail again.

Rattikorn, originally from Nakhon Si Thammarat,. This is a city in south of Thailand, so most probably thaï national

Police should have let the relatives lynch him. Back in the 70"s he wòuld have faced a public execution by firing squad at or near the scene of the crìme.

Summary justice by exècutive decree was very popular and attracted huge crowds. It also seemed to cùt the crime rate.

Should have given him to her Family and Friends and saved the Taxpayers the cost of a Trial and his Prison Accomadation Bill !

Yes. That's what i 1st noticed too. My guess is most people here feel the same as the cops do with this insect of a human. By the way, well done to the RTP for catching this scum so quickly.

such animals deserve a death penalty. Staying in prison is a holiday for a homeless person.

How about execution within 30 days with no possibility of appeal? When you have a heinous crime that's caught on video there's really not much for the judges to decide, other than had a sentence the vermin..

Perhaps extreme crimes deserve extreme punishment. And besides the society really having a use for this guy?

I am in shock. I regularly walk by the hotel on my way to Market Village. I had no idea this happened and I tell my friend, and he goes, old news. It's just so quiet in this area, and there is never any violent crime. Poor woman.

The randomness and level of violence in this crime tells me this guy has done it many times before.

The police should look into his past, in particular his movements and the locations he has been in, and then look for unsolved cases with a high level of violence on a random victim, basically, a similar MO.

He should get a life sentence for this crime, but the families of other unsolved serious crimes this guy may have committed could have a sense of justice also.

Personally I think he should just be left for some family justice. Let them have him so they can inflict the same pain and suffering this poor lady did. Evil like this no longer deserves to be breathing oxygen.

Let’s hope his future in-mates are told what he done and he faces even more vicious consequences
