Man bags

Featured Replies

I carry a shoulder bag all the time when I am out and I don't know how I did without it. Inside, I have cell phone, paper napkins, throat spray, sunglasses, pen, paper tape measure, face mask, Bangkok condo entrance/elevator/room card, MRT and BTS fare cards, spare key for the car, hard candy, Equal packets, salt and pepper packets, and sometimes a small notebook, bank books, and paint sample cards. Likely forgetting a few things.

OK, back to the purse then. How many times a day, when out and about, do you feel the urge to 'freshen up' with a wet wipe?

As regards "wet wipes" or similar, since Covid, I've carried a small bottle (50mL or less) of hand sanitiser gel. If, for example, I get off a "Baht bus" I like to use it, having been holding on to the grab rails (watch what some people do with their hands!) That's especially if i'm about to handle food.

In Thailand I wear cargo shorts with lots of pockets including zipped ones for phone and wallet. The bottle of gel sits neatly in one of the open pockets.

Back to the OP: I find my man bag invaluable for travel, especially going through airport security but that's my main use for it when I'm carrying phone(s), tablet, money, passport, spectacles, meds, passport, pen, book reader.

And, IMO, there's nothing effeminate about carrying a useful bag that adds to your convenience. To the people who say there is, or poke fun, I misquote The Bard and say "methinks the gentleman doth protest too much." Figure it out! 😉

Or terminally online nobodies who spend the entire day malignantly glued to their screens, doomscrolling and trolling on AN because they have nothing else going on. If your phone cannot survive a normal day without being hooked up to a portable power source, the problem is not modern technology. It is you.

I have a latest top spec phone that probably easily matches or even betters the latest iPhone capabilities in its camera tech. I use mine for filming umpteen 4k shots on locations, therefore I often take a fast charging output (Slim and Light) power bank with me.

On the other hand not everyone needs to buy or can afford the most up-to-date phone.

Are you sure you are not getting the contents of your shoulder bag confused with the contents of your condo?

Also sometimes use a bindle (a cloth bundle tied to the end of a stick) over my shoulder when the rucksack's out of action.

Ha! Just might be. But, I seem to need everything I'm carrying at some point or the other--or I wouldn't be dragging it around.

I sense that you have an affinity for the sophistication and style of Louis Vuitton.

I like beaches. Most bars in Thailand are boring. Prefer riding motorbikes and doing things. Beer isnt cheap in bars and Thai beers arent much good.

What bikes you have?🏍

From what everyone says here, it's you that's the troll. I started a topic, so stay out of that one if you only want to argue. Here, I commented and you trolled, as usual. Again, seeing you either can't understand much of the written word and just skim, I have been many places. You don't know me, nor anyone else here. That you think you do has you sounding like an imbecile. If you keep this up, you might find yourself out again, as I'm done with your childishness.

What are you talking about? I run 5 kilometers every morning and then 4 more in the evening. You think I carry a bottle of vitamins around with me? I take 1000 milligrams of C a day the rest I get naturally though diet. Luckily I have never had the urge to sit in a condo with a power bank. 🤣 Much prefer a nice house with some land.

You have stalked me a lot. You can discuss the topic without making it personal. You have serious issues and want everyone to think like you, the communist dream.

So far it hasn't happened, but I have caught 3 trying.....

I usually button the pockets....If in someplace rife with them I have some Columbia pants that have double pockets with inner zipped security pockets....

Still more secure than an easy to spot, snatch & run man purse....

As opposed to front pocket with a casual hand placed on top of a wallet ? Or do you welcome the attempt while enjoying a moment of buttock groping ?

I have never heard of an over shoulder bag .. man or woman.. being snatched without the use of a blade.

WTF? You are in a tizzy. We are discussing jogging and vitamins. What the hell does that have to do with my political views?

Fairly rare. Pattaya would have dodgy spots. Hua Hin? I highly doubt it.

I often wonder why the right wing of politics are prejudice against Transexuals reading library books to children,.

She is the boss and line to be in charge ! Or Inlet her be in charge for what we got here in Thailand and what I transfer, and I trust her 100% until I do not. 10 years and so far no reason to not trust her!
