Very suspicious three people you were acquainted with died in a short time frame. This reads like a poor attempt at an alibi. Lawyer up now.

  • He leaves a black cloud wherever he goes.

  • Well, you still shouldn't have believed him, because he died 2 years ago, not just yesterday

I regret not listening to my Father. As a smart-alec teenager I thought I knew it all, then he was gone.

He was a kid during WW II, flew early fighter jets, raised a family, but I never really listened to him.

Just one small example: Recently there was an online discussion on an aviation site about which was the better fighter, F86 Sabre Vs Hawker Hunter. I should have had a first hand view on this from my Father, but I didn't.

I want to talk about life regrets

A few weeks ago on a Saturday I promised myself I would make a visit to a Pattaya bookshop owner , but I didn't go

There was the owner to see and two long term customers who made me laugh that were going to be there

Unfortunately I just heard the news ,the bookshop owner passed away yesterday, the two long term customers of that Pattaya bookshop did too last week heart attack and accident , how the hell is that not a regret ?

Why didn't I go that Saturday?

I would of seen 3 people I enjoyed being with , all passed in that 3 weeks since

, had I gone there on that Saturday 3 weeks ago they all may not have passed as usually I give people goodluck

My regret , instead I sat in that hotel room drinking those 3 Chang's !!!!

Deep regret

As Frank Sinatra sings "regrets " I had a few "

Do any of you regret that you divorced your wife and left your family behind to come to Thailand or Philippines or Where you escaped to ?

Regrets .....I'm so sad actually

Ok one person pases away ...but 3 in that 3 weeks all under 70..I'm so sorry I said I would be there that Saturday, if I did you all may still be here !

RIP guys, I hope you are all ok

I regret not meeting you!

You know why.

I think you'll find that the majority of men were divorced by their wife back home.

Research shows that 70% of divorces are initiated by women, and this percentage increases to 90% among college-educated women.

RIP Bob. I never knew him but, from the facebook comments, he was obviously well liked.

Pathetic to post a dead men photo not checking that.

Yes, a terrible mistake.

In life don't..in fact, never have regrets.

Just avoid repeating the same foolish mistakes.

As Einstein said, only a fool will repeat the same mistakes and expect a different result.

On December 12th 1995, I told my dad before leaving for school that I'd probably come home at lunch to get my PE kit. I didn't bother in the end and came home after school as usual. I then found him on the living room floor, dead from a heart attack. Took me a long time to get over the 'what ifs'. Even now, 30 years later, there's still some lingering regret.

It all depends on your personal Philosophy of life and how you use language, as it can affect you in a negative way.

I don’t use certain words about my life, eg “ regrets “. I make decisions based upon the information that I have available at the time and my feelings.

If it turns out into good results then I celebrate the positivity of it. This was true of my career.

During my career however I made decisions that were not deemed favorable at the time but instead of dwelling too much on it, I took the positives out of it, the benefits, advantages and as it turned out another door opened and I moved on.

Same with relationships, a marriage ended but instead of drowning my sorrows, I grieved the loss appropriately and took the positives from it. Wonderful children, and time to travel extensively and again move on.

Leisure activities, I thought alcohol was good for socializing until it started ruling my life. I had good times and memories and stood by that but moved on from drinking alcohol. I did enjoy it, but time to experience life with more money in my pocket and no hangovers. Eating more healthier and food tastes better, not rushing to eat junk food.

So my advice would be similar to some others who urge you to enjoy the moment and not live in the past or future. We are here not only to live but to learn, be prepared to abandon old habits if they are not positive in your life, cut out things that create negative feelings in your mind leading to the need for drugs, alcohol, depression, unhappiness or fake happiness.

You have to work on it yourself, never too late to address long standing or inherent behaviors.

I have no regrets... ❤️

For all that, you're no Edith Piaf.

History shows that you can be vilified not only for what you have done, or not done, but what you have not regretted. I will probably one day regret this post, and by then it may be too late.

When I became a Christian in Aug '88, the first few things that The Holy Spirit convicted me of was telling lies, not keeping my word and just being honest with people, even with the smallest of matters. When all is said and done and we leave this earth, all that will be left is our reputation. It's never too late to begin telling the truth and being honest with people. If you can't make an event, then call them up and tell them you won't be there. No explanations are necessary. You will feel better and they will feel better. It doesn't take that much effort to be a truth teller and not a scoundrel that leaves people wondering why you didn't keep your word.

Why in God's name (joke) would anyone need the Holy Spirit (whatever the **** that is) to behave an acceptable manner as a human being?

I am a dyed in the wool anti-theist from the age of 7..........and don't need anyone to tell me right from wrong.

Regrets? Two of them.

  1. When my son was 8 or 9 years old, he saved up his pennies and bought a 'Quit Smoking' device to encourage me to stop smoking. One of these timer things that tells you when you can smoke the next one. I used it for about two days and gave up. I was addicted. I'll never forget the look on his face when he saw me still smoking. He's got two kids of his own now, but I still feel the regret.

  2. When I was in the Air Force, I had the opportunity to join the base Flying Club. It would have cost me $200 (fuel cost only) to learn to fly. That was in 1967. These days, it would run between $10,00-$20,000 USD depending on location.

Must have been the vaccine

Well, let's see. I bought 100 shares of Netflix when it went public way back in 2002. Sometime later, can't remember exactly when, I was short on money and I sold all the shares, at a small profit. Google tells me those shares, with the stock splits, would now be worth around $480,000 to $500,000. That's a regret.

I tend, though, not to wallow in regrets. I've often found, with things that happen, what I at first thought was a negative, later turned out not to be as time went on. For example, when I was just out of college, I interviewed for a job as an elementary school librarian. Really wanted the job at the time and regretted not being selected from those who interviewed. Later, I was selected for a library job at a community college and, in hindsight, this job suited me much better--so much so that I stayed for 30 years full-time and an additional 5 years part-time after I retired and before I moved to Thailand.

If it is indeed a cold, empty, godless universe, where the hell did right and wrong appear from! The big bang?

And why on earth would evolved apes originally from slime know about right and wrong?

Like everyone else, I have very limited knowledge on everything. How did you become an expert on moral philosophy?

not sleeping with willing women because i had a girlfriend. what a mug.

Don't do regrets you can't undo what's already been done

Pointless exercise

So that makes you a moral relativist whereby everyone defines their own definition of right and wrong. That's exactly why the entire world is in such chaos these days. We have all been spoon-fed the idea that there is no standard for "truth", and it's all subjective. This is the biggest lie that satan has ever perpetrated on the human race. Just look around you and tell me that everyone is behaving in an acceptable manner as a human being. If you say that there is no such thing as sin, that you have no sin and that those around you have no sin.....that you and they are just practicing your own idea of righteousness, then you are not being intellectually honest. The world right now is a total cesspool, and things will only get worse. When Jesus Christ returns to set up HIS 1000-year reign on the earth and sits on His throne in Jerusalem, then you will see the earth united again, and sin will be eradicated once and for all. There is only one standard for righteousness and only one Truth, and His name is Jesus Christ, and until you get off the throne of your own life and crown him King, you will never know what true peace and love looks like.

John 14:6 says.....Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John 3:36 says.....He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

We all have to decide what we are going to do with Jesus! That decision will surely decide where we will spend eternity, so choose wisely my friends!

Let's not digress into theology.

What are your regrets?

I was in the pub a couple of months back, and I fell to talking to the chap next to me, and after a bit of conversation he said "D'you want to go and watch Stevie Nicks at the stadium across the road, I've got a spare ticket?"
And I was a bit suspicious - advice from my youth sprang to mind:
"Yeoowhll yeoowl"
"Charlie says don't talk to strangers"

I'd had too much to drink to get best value out of a free ticket anyway, so I told him so, and he asked the lady sitting on the opposite side of him, and they went off to the concert.

I saw her a week or two later, and she said she had a good time, so I don't regret that.

What a strange argument to present when 99% of the sheeples on Earth all belong to your religion or one similar.

On that basis alone religions should be banned.
