TT&T Maxnet, no problem accessing the You tube page or watching a video. What message are you getting or does the site just time out?

I can't get on for 2 days now, TOT.

Any other sites have difficulty as well? Have you tried changing your settings to Open DNS? www.opendns.com/

Also not happening on TOT Pattaya for several days now. No censor message, just not connecting. Fishy, huh?

Yeah, I'm on TOT and haven't been able to for two or three days. Strange

Has anyone tried changing their DNS servers? I have had similar problems before and changing the DNS address in internet options to the DNS address of Open DNS solved that problem.

Same here. "The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading." Looks like they are blocking it again?

I can't see it for one week, I have Tot . No censure writing but, simply the usual blank page (tha page cannot be dispayed).

I never touched the Dns .But before I can see it and now I can't.

Yeah same here, you tube seems to be blocked on tot ?

SBK,

Where do I get to find DNS and how do I change it, please? I went into internet options, but need a bit of a helping hand through there!

Thanks

Please abide by the forum rules - several posts have had to be removed.

We do not allow discussions of proxies or other methods of bypassing government blocking of websites.

go to opendns.org, they have the DNS addresses listed there. To change your DNS server address to those of Open DNS, click on your connection, properties, then in general you will see Internet Protocols (TCP/IP), click on that then properties and you will see the option to use the following DNS servers. Type in the server addresses from the Open DNS site, then click ok. I find that if I am having difficulties accessing sites outside Thailand, that this usually solves the problem.

This will work if you are having difficulty accessing other international sites as well, but if other sites load fine and it is only youtube that doesn't load then it could be TOT.

I tried the DNS option, still can't access.

I can only get to Youtube using proxies.

PM me if you need proxy help.

Is it now established that youtube is being blocked by TOT, if so is it due to content or bandwidth restrictions ?

Same today, what the f*&6 did they do now...

Can't access Youtube - on TOT @ najomtien..

Could be many reason, i.e., Tech problem, most likely a Knee Jerk reaction by the power that be. Remember TIT(this is Thailand) :o:D

No problems here: Bangkok/CSLoxInfo. Actually performance, real-time streaming, seems much improved?

There are ~ 5 threads daily here about people being unable to reach websites, most seem to involve DNS issues.

You may be getting better performance since a number of True clients are having problems accessing international sites {BBC, Economist as personal examples, even using OpneDNS!} thereby 'freeing up bandwidth'.....

Regards
