bkk_mike
Anything in the way of food items won't matter a hill of beans. They'll all be gone a short time later. As I eat Thai for every lunch and some dinners, the food I bring back typically lasts me about 4 or 5 months. And as I go to the US or Europe about 5 times a year, that is often enough to keep me stocked up on my western foodstuffs. (I also forgot to list mustard, Skippy peanut butter, jam, anchovy paste, canned roma tomatoes, and real maple syrup.) You can get Canadian maple syrup in Tops Market (quite pricey though). Personally the only thing I tend to bring back is squeezable Branston pickle (from the UK).

montri69
Looks like the "Brits" and "Europeans" are missing the point here. He's not going to England or Europe and most everything you've listed can be found in Pattaya and Bangkok. What I'd bring from the states are DVDs and music CDs that are NOT cheap copies and don't have Thai subtitles (movies). All the ones I brought here when I moved and have had sent since are still in great shape where as ALL the Thai ones are going lame. JMHO

Meridian007
Yes, most of these things are available here (at a higher price, but that's to be expected), but there are a couple things that I still prefer from home. Anything cotton (bed sheets, underwear, socks, etc.), and Crest toothpaste (I can't stand Colgate).

bendejo
Gillette triple blades bought in Thailand, great shave even after 7 days. Best razor I've ever used. I dreaded the transition when I ran out of Wilkinsons, but I'm doing ok with Tesco disposables (swivel head). I shave every 2nd day (usually) and one razo lasts weeks. Add to my list: Edge shaving gel Edited October 20, 2009 by bendejo

Good Stuff! bourbon creams jersey royals daddies brown sauce good anglo/indian curry Bourbon Creams available in Tops along with many other 'Waitrose' buscuits. They are all pricey and often end up being sold for half price when past expiry date. Absolutely nothing wrong with them of course so tuck in. Many Waitrose frozen products in Tops too. delmersomsri
Found Miracle Whip at Tesco in Salaya. Still trying to figure out what "proper mustard" is?! My sister is comming from the US for a visit. Been putting together a list of items to bring. Lucky for her the list is small. I do miss my Craftman Tools but there is a weight limit . Small reliable kitchen appliances would be nice also but I guess there would be a huge import tax on those.
