Some of the damage caused by the Russian man.

PHUKET: -- A drunk Russian tourist, aged 25, caused a scene yesterday (November 25) in Patong after he escaped from Patong Hospital, smashed car windows then fell asleep in a dirty pool of water.

Police said the unnamed man was in Patong Hospital with a head injury, sustained from when he was drunk. He ran out from the hospital, taking a fire extinguisher with him, and smashed the windows and mirrors of five cars nearby.

He then went into a dirty pool of water, before falling asleep in it. He was later taken to Kathu Police Station, where he was calmed down by staff.

Oh well, here we go for much Russian bashing.

There is no need for Russian bashing; they are doing a pretty good job for themselves.

Yes, he set a precedent there. This could turn out to be a very busy and expensive high season for him.

Shame he didn't use his head to smash the windows. Would have likely fixed the moron.

His actions appear stupid rather than evil. He will pay for the damage he has caused and then some. He will spend some time locked up. I am more concerned about the 'teenage' gangs on motorcycles robbing and attacking tourists with knives and guns.

And the Russians are thinking about closing down charter flights to Thailand as they feel that their natives safety and welfare is at risk. Apparently they, at least, are not too concerned about how the rest of the World sees them.

Some who come here might think that Ivan was just having 'a good night out'.

The guy is lucky he didn't drown in that water.

No chance, he thought it was beer..................smile.png

Before everybody starts on this guy , I mean who at one point has not got drunk , woken up in a hospital , grabbed a fire extinguisher , ran outside and smashed the windows of a few cars , and then jumped in a puddle to cool off . I mean it could happen to anybody

Escaped? Interesting choice of word.

I've heard of people escaping from custody, or even having a lucky escape, which he obviously did, falling asleep in a pond. but escaping from hospital, that's a new one.

Spiked, yeah, that's it! "Someone put alcohol in my drink!" Maybe he is used to escaping from mental hospitals? Thailand should threaten Russians with not allowing these quality tourists in to counter threat of not sending them.... I assume he fell asleep face up in the pond. There is no divine justice.

Classic case of spiked drink!

cheesy.gif , you obviously have never been rat arsed.................cheesy.gif

Isn't it time to put a ban on alcohol and legalise ganja, ganga, pot liquor, bammy, chillums or whatever you call it? Being high is sooo much better (for others) than being drunk rolleyes.gif

Another fine quality teenage tourist upholding the good name of Russia.

Who says he was drunk, maybe he took one too many Yaba tablets... Well at least he acted like he did ;)
