But only 5,321 of them have been paid.Similar payment problems have been reported in other provinces. In Phichit, farmers are calling on those in nearby provinces to join their protest to step up pressure on the government. These farmers plan to block the Pluak Soong Intersection on the Asia Road in Phichit's Wachirabarami district from today onward. If the blockade takes place, interprovincial traffic will be affected.Farmers in Nakhon Sawan have threatened to block roads there if the government fails to pay participants in the rice-pledging scheme by January 15.-- The Nation 2014-01-07

Popular Post ramrod711
But, it's a democraticaly elected government! This is what the people wanted. No point in calling for reforms before these clowns get 2 more years to bankrupt the country. Wait until after the election, and watch what they can accomplish when they get the water management and infrastructure loans, then you will see money really being wasted. But, hey, they were democraticaly elected,no one has any right to complain.

Hmm its easy to focus on a target when it is close to where we live, but what would we be whinging at back at home? Several failed business then get a monopoly handed to you on a silver platter, whereby you can make millions (mostly because it's a monopoly). How ironic can you be, the paymaster and his red rebel leaders always going on about coups, but it's never mentioned that the paymaster was handed the said monopoly by a nasty military general who had just been one of the high profile leaders of a coup which shot down 200+ unarmed civilians in the street and then their bodies disappeared and have never been found. Popular Post robblok
Poor farmers getting shafted by the party they voted for while the head robber in Dubai trippled his fortune since the government came to power. I don't believe in coincidences. Too bad the farmers will never learn and vote for a party that handed them the money directly without the middle man and the huge corruption. It also did not bankrupt the country.

Popular Post tomacht8
That's really creepy! 5321 from 61909 paid. That means only 8,59% were paid, and 91,41% were not!!! "Holy shit" That the government no announced precise figures here is a scandal. Where is the Tax Police? Help Help What this politicans do with our tax money? and where is the money now?and who got, how much from that idiotic money rain?? Maybe it's the smartest theft of government funds ever, or the stupidest thing what a government can do with government funds. In both cases, the money is completely gone, if it was not immediately be verified. My projection: 680 Billion + 180 Billion minus rotten Stockpile – 12 Billion Cash in BAAC – outstanding 80 Billion loans = around 800 Billion Baht loss + x plus x then As an approximation, 2 harvests per year. so one harvest is 200.000.000.000 Baht. thereof 91,41% unpaid = Debt of the State 182.810.253.800 Baht Then all together until today: 800 Billion Baht loss + open debs 183 Billion Baht = 983 Billion Baht for this $%& Rice Scheme without any effects for society. 983.000.000.000 Baht nearlly one trillion!!! Those responsible should get the harshest penalties, for this irresponsibility towards the society. This government stole all children in this country a better future! No doubt the mysterious third hand, yet again. Then the red brigade will be out on TV claiming its Suthep's fault. He'll be stirring the violence up. Even if the protests hadn't started, and the whitewash and massive loan had been approved, does anybody think the poor farmers would have been paid? The Shin gang are not noted for sharing the spoils or keeping any promises.
