Reds set 500,000 baht bounty for Suthep’s arrest

Recommended Posts

They would have to raise the bounty to at least what the government was paying for a dead protester. Wasn't that in the range of 7 million or so? It's not worth anyone's trouble - dying for a paltry 500K. There would be no takers. And then he would be bailed in half an hour and back on the streets. Interesting the government hasn't fronted with any bounty money. I guess the slush fund is running a bit low now.

5000 in KK. Where have all the red shirts gone?

Not a sole at the government buildings at 10am but 5000+ at 12.20. I gave them my full support in their efforts to keep democracy out of the hands of this modern day Hitler. Reds across the region must have totalled maybe 100,000 + on day 1. No thugs on motorbikes or many young men, mainly older citizens. Maybe keeping the naughty boys on the sidelines just in case Suthep fancies his chances

...I am not your rival...I am the people

They shouldn't need to put a bounty on a guy that is already indicted for murder and has arrest warrants out for him now as he marches freely.

TIT

ps: I have to agree with theses signs the reds are carrying that say "Respect my Vote"

The problem with this "respect my vote" bit is that it's in English and the majority of the red shirts cant speak English let alone read it. so in the end it can be deemed as cheap propaganda, don't u think?

Next it will be posters hanging up around Thailand highlighting "Wanted. Dead or Alive"with a pic of Suthep below it. Maybe 20 paces at dawn with tear gas and water cannons will be a PTP request? Or my favorite from the Western movie, Silverado "We're gonna give you a fair trial, followed by a first class hanging." And going by Jatuporn's quotes in the past, I am sure it is close to the UDD paramilitary leaders mind.

A think an appropriate quote for Suthep is from the deathrow film with Sean Penn(or was it tom hanks)..."dead man walking boss..dead man walking"

When you've run out of arguments accuse your foe of homosexuality.

Quite a common tactic for the red brigade. Karun the wife beater for example.

His condemnable of you

Easy money?

Yeah very easy to just walk into a crowd of thousands and thousands of angry protesters, slap a pair of cuffs on him and walk him into the police station.

Bin Laded hid in dirt, Suthep is hiding in crowds

Yes I call it Human Shields, but on the end they will get him.

The price of a used car? facepalm.gif

If Mr Suthep is only worth 500,000 can u imagine what your life is worth to the Reds? Absolutely Zero.

Tom Hanks.

Appropriate too as The guy he was referring too was innocent yet intimidating.

Well he;s on stage now: http://www.tvjaa.com/stream/blueskychannel.html#

Quite easy to grab..

1. Mind precedes all mental states. Mind is their chief; they are all mind-wrought. If with an impure mind a person speaks or acts suffering follows him like the wheel that follows the foot of the ox.

2. Mind precedes all mental states. Mind is their chief; they are all mind-wrought. If with a pure mind a person speaks or acts happiness follows him like his never-departing shadow.

Now the people follow 2, even if independent of Suthep. This is the reality! Esan arrived today, in support of the departing shadow Thaksin and Co. brought. Suthep says soem crazy things, but what he set in motion is the greatest asset Thailand has had for decades.

The end is finished. Who knows what is tomorrow..... but Yingluck and Big Brother have come to a finite end.

500,000 for Suthep's arrest is not bad.

I would not mind to donate another 500,000 for the travel costs of the arresting team

Obviously with that type of money you are a warehouse owner as opposed to a rice farmer?

Wonder if a citizens arrest would be excluded in the fine print? Even then it would be for Thai nationals only, I suppose.

If not, this could fund a broke backpacker's stay for another year, at least - living on the cheap.

They are in both Thai and English. What makes you think that Thais cannot read and write English? The color of ones t-shirt does not define what one can read and write.

Guess you haven't been in Thailand long if that's what you think.

well then, show us all how big your balls are, go and get him or are you just another mouth piece, yeh, easy money, you are a joke.

Does he need to show balls?

Who is he, the commander of the Thai navy seals or G9 group?

Kids, come to your grips.

A man accused of such heavy crimes and with warrants set out against him that, would you need to tag'em on him, you wouldn't be able see him any longer, what's the deal to get a trained force walk right into the circle and pull him out? The warrants are legal, so who would dare to incriminate themselves? In fact, all the people sheltering this rusty megaphone, should already have their own, proudly earned, warrant of arrest.

Seriously, it only confirms the wimp status of this ...! - BIG mouth, then pull your tail in and make a u-turn. No wonder this country is in such a mess.

"Red-shirt followers in the Northeast have set up a 500,000-baht bounty for the arrest of protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban."

What? Are they the police? Do they represent the law? What legitimity do they have to issue such a statement??

Great. So your essentially admitting the police are not doing their job by arresting him so it needs to be put into the hands of civilians to do it. UDD civilians that have threatened judges, raided ASEAN summits, threatened to blow up LPG truck, done grenade attacks at Thai banks, attacked Thai charity with grenades, stormed parliament, attacked NPP and TPI buildings with M16 and grenades, stormed police hospital, stormed TV station, bombed electricity pylons, taken police hostage, destroyed CCTV cameras, dumped tyres on sky train tracks and used children as human shields. What a great future Thailand has to look forward too. Well, great from a UDD/PTP perspective. It is certainly not from a democratic perspective. Paid for the bus yet to have this guy arrested? May as well stop via the Generals twin daughters house at the florists? Defending elections while ignoring every other principle of democracy does come at a cost.

Oh man, you can't see at all about your yellow blindfolder.

Don't reply I'm a red, cause I'm not. But your posts, you have to see your doctor about your icterus.

Today we got only one clear-headed post.

Please read the 73 # in "Suthep kicks off Bangkok shutdown mass protest"

the others are big bull-s-hit in yellow or in red.

ps: I have to agree with theses signs the reds are carrying that say "Respect my Vote"

"Indicted for murder" A charge that he and Abhisit acknowledged and will contest through the judicial process. Charged because they were Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister when people were killed during violent protests in 2010.

Did they give direct orders to go out and kill people?.... I seriously doubt that.

However, Thaksin actually gave direct orders to kill suspected drug dealers in 2003 during his "War on Drugs", when almost 3000 Thai citizens were gunned down on suspicion of being drug dealers.

When questioned by the UN, he just laughed and said that "He was Prime Minister and could do what he wants."

And now Yingluck talking about the use of methamphetamine:

Yingluck Shinawatra, the prime minister in waiting, has already pledged "a new war on drugs" to eliminate them within 12 months, alarming human rights groups who fear a repeat of her brother's 2003 crackdown.

As for "Respect my Vote." These are the very same people (reds) who have sold their votes to Thaksin for many years now.
