That is the thing harrry, I couldn’t bring myself to bore you with an image of nothing but grey. You know me, I like pretty things. I still enjoy the atmosphere however.

Raining now in in Phayao. I should say in our village on the opposite side of lake Payao. It is great to hear on the tiles.

Felt like going out and dancing in the rain an hour ago here in Chiangrai.

Phaya Mengrai is still dry but they were lighting fires like crazy this evening in anticipation of some rain.crazy.gif

We had enough rain over here by Wawee to get a drip line under the eaves. So not much, but it was nice have a token sprinkling. The roads were wicked slippery though. Just enough water to lubricate the surface.

It rained hard for an hour. Very welcome at this time of the year.

Wow it is pissing down here in Phaya Mengrai this morning. Dark as night and plenty of thunder as well. Great news for our local pumpkin growers as they won’t be needing to hand water their plants today.

This much rain may actually be enough to cleanse the air a bit, as well.smile.png

Raining heavily in Chiang Saen, and my wife swore it would be dry for the next 2 months :)

Strange weather! Have not seen rain this heavy in January! The abnormal is now the normal?

I agree, in 14 years, haven't seen this type of rain for middle of winter. great!

Major lighting shows through Chiang Saen at the moment

it was booming over here around dusk. Got some real rain this time. I got see how the new drainage layout works.

A nice little storm in the city a while ago.

An email from my neighbour today about the storm and complaining of a power outage lasting several hours.

Travelled to Chiang Rai from Phayao today. While we were in Big C the heavens opened. On our return journey the road was wet up to Phan. Looks like the unseasonal weather is still with us.

I flew in yesterday and was genuinely surprised at the cleanliness of the air compared with Bangkok which would have been nearly as bad as the worst I've seen here.

I hope we can have another round of rains in March, that would put a major dent in the is years smoke season.

Sky looks great this week.

Wow, what a beautiful day. Relatively clear and cool with a good breeze out of the North.smile.png

Yes I took the bike out and ran her hard, out in the boonies. A very good day.

We got the thunder and the wind, but no wet. Anyone get something out of these clouds today?

Raining hard near Wap Pranon. Thunder too. Wind too.
