Best options 7000-10,000?

Good battery life and reasonable camera only requirements.  Was interested in zenfone 3 but it's more expensive here. What are the best value options?

I quite like the Obi SF1 Worldphone that Lazada has for about 5k baht.  Good specs: 3000mAh, 2GB/16GB, 1 micro sim + 1 micro sim/microSD slot, 1920 x 1080, octacore Snapdragon 615.  I prefer a light phone with a 5" screen.  I am much interested in taking pictures, so you will find better evaluations of the camera elsewhere.

Can't be rooted though, which may not matter to everyone.  Also, battery not removable which is another minus.  Other than that I am very satisfied.

Samsung J7. Super bright and clear AMOLED 5.5 inch screen, battery lasts for days under normal use. Got mine with a free 32 GB memory card for under 8000.

SAMSUNG J2 is an absolute stand out at 3900 baht at lazada, today only

I agree on the Samsung J7 (there's also a cheaper one with a smaller screen, a J5). I'm perfectly happy with mine. Takes 2 sim cards as well, if that is useful to you.

Yes, the Galaxy J7 v2 - the 2016 version - is really nice.

I buy mine at IT-City last month for 8.900 THB - and got an Power Bank for free also. But be careful - many stores sell the J7 v1 for a cheap price ... the v2 (2016) is much better.

Last year I buy the Zenfone 5 ... absolutly worst ... screen freeze many times, battery will be very hot ... and the only answer from ASUS is: Set it back to factory settings. Zenfone never again.

Samsung A9 new model exellent battery life big screen rates well in all reviews and tests a bit more 13500 but worth the 3500 extra

I just bought the Xiaomi redmi note 3. Battery is 4000mah which is one of the best around at B7,500. If you read the reviews the camera is not great but I've taken plenty of pictures with mine and I love it. The only problem I've encountered is in low light conditions.

If you like the Zenfone have you tried the Zenfone Max (ZC550CL)? Its about B6,000. Its got a 5000mah battery which you can actually use as a power bank for other phones. Its only got a 720p screen though and a slower processor but thats in order to maximise the battery life.

I can only agree, best buy for 7990 which is the market price now if you ask around.

Could always consider the Samsung Tab A (2016). Baht 6990 has a mini SIM slot and  SD slot. I bought one recently a day it has great battery life even with WiFi on all the time

Did you do the upgrade to Marshmallow 6.0.1 yesterday?.... I did and it has made a difference. Faster and brighter. This is a great phone.

Didn't know an update was available- even though my phone is set for automatic updates. I just tried manually, and got it. Thanks for that!!

Another vote for J5/J7, my dad got a J5 not long ago and is more than pleased with it. Mind you, his previous phone was my antique HTC, anything would be an improvement!

Xiaomi range - note 3 has 4000 maH battery and will easily do a day on heavy use, screen on time around 6-7 hours, or if you like bigger then the MI Max 6.44 screen with a 5000 maH battery that will also easily last you all day.

I have had them both and they are great phones.

I went to China town in Bangkok. Alternatively there's a xiaomi Thailand on Facebook and theres always lazada, but I wanted to have a feel and play with it first before buying.

I get mine from Lazada, make sure you pick a Thai dealer they get here quicker, no more than 2 days and tip if you type ladaza promotion Thailand you will find at least one of them you can get 500 baht discount, ether Dtac, true via code or the banks if you use a credit/debit card.

Shame you can't pay a bit more. Some great deals on Lazada like the Samsung S6 Edge plus or Note 4 for 14,000 (after discount).

Just bought a Vivo y51L. Love it. about 6000 baht. Really am impressed with the interface and performance.

Gearbest.com will deliver in about 10 days. They have the 2/16gb Xiaomi Note 3 Pro for about $145 (B5000), 3/32gb version $185 (B6500), Usually considerably less than lazada. Prices include shipping, duty is sometimes assessed, sometimes not.

I bought the Samsung J7 V2 based on recommendations on this thread.  Thanks!  7700 baht from Lazada and I like it very much.

UMI Super, 5.5" full hd, fingerprint scanner, 4gb ram, 32gb rom, 4000ma/h battery, andoid 6.0, 2sim or 1sim +mini sd and gorilla glass + alu housing.

No Chinese crap apps preloaded but pretty barebones from the shop.

I got it for 200$ at gearbest and are very happy with it. Now after +1 month use and using no screen protector, not a single scratch on it.

I find it pretty amazing you can get such a good scec phone for that price and after app 2 years use, I will likely bin it and get something else, costing me 100$ per year for the privilege.

I would recommend LG phones over Samsung any day, and that comes from experience of owning both brands. Avoid Apple at all costs, over priced over rated and behind the technology curve. Don't buy into the hype. Lots of well specced Chinese phones recommended here, good bang for the buck but they will probably not hold their value and after sales service might be a problem.

If you're interested in a brand new unused Google Nexus 5 (LG) for sale within your price range - PM me. That is a lot of phone for the money though, perhaps more than you need.
