StevieAus Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Hi I am looking for recommendations for a good quality roof rack for the current model Ford Everest Titanium preferably in Chiang Mai but elsewhere in Thailand if they will ship. The problem I have experienced is that the dealers I have visited locally ( Fang) have the racks but not the correct securing brackets Thanks in advance Stephen

Jai Dee Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 From the Ford Thailand Website it would appear that they don't. You can get mats, a snorkel, a towbar and ball, etc... but apparently not a roof rack. JAS21 Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Try asking on Ford Forums Australia. Maybe someone has come up with a fix but as TA says not exactly a surfeit of places to attach.
canthai55 Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 Give you some ideas. Can't buy here - study the mounting system, print out, take to Thai Fab shop. http://www.rhinorack.com.au/fit-my-car/results/1360/ford-everest-3rd-gen-4dr-suv-with-flush-rails-10-15-on https://www.frontrunneroutfitters.com/en/int/ford-everest-2015-current-slimlineiiroof-rack-kit.html
StevieAus Posted March 1, 2017 Author Posted March 1, 2017 Thanks for all the responses much appreciated stephen
cooked Posted March 1, 2017 Posted March 1, 2017 I asked years ago why the Thais don't use roof racks and was much mocked. No have.
alfieconn Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 Try this assessory shop in Chiang Mai https://www.google.co.th/maps/place/หจก.เรืองชัยยนต์/@18.772626,99.0270898,18z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0xfb3efa8a8424eb47!8m2!3d18.7739212!4d99.027653?hl=en
pgrahmm Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 There is a shop on the left of 108 going "south" that seems to have racks/accessories & a Thule sign.....It's a fairly large building....Not too far from Airport Plaza..... Question - is that aluminum bodied (roofed)? There might be a good reason why they don't make it available.....
canthai55 Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 If that is the Carryboy dealer. with a very tall sign with the 2 chevrons on it, be aware that his prices are outrageous. Asked him if he had the tape to seal canopies onto pickup truck boxes, he said sure. Would install for 3000 baht !! And I buy the tape 555
JoeW Posted March 3, 2017 Posted March 3, 2017 http://www.everestclubthailand.com/index.php/topic,72.0.html Seems like Thule can fit a roofbox, so no reason why they can't fit a roofrack :) Shop name is D2 Autorack in Bangkok. They ship to Chiangmai.
