Ah! Thai logic at it's best. Unregistered dart board = gambling, registered dart board = no gambling. Must be some sort of new high tech. anti gambling dart board.

the linked article says the registration and number given will be free.  So is this just a classic example of some stupid boss saying do something, so people just go along with it?  I get that at work a lot

Aha!!!

So you work for the Australian government then?:cheesy:

I was told by a Thai years ago that its a criminal offence to import  playing cards in quantity and you can be arrested for possessing 5 decks or more in your home.  It wouldnt surprise me if its true.

Playing cards that are coated or with a nice gold band down the side attract a whopping import duty '.

Heaven forbid that Thais should buy European  cards when they can buy crap at the local market stalls.

The junta will send this country back to a  monkeyhouse.

Registering a dart-board does not ensure gambling will not take place. :coffee1:

Nor does registering snooker tables. Went to a muay thai fight last night and the gambling section was full. I'm guessing the boxing ring was not registered. Then there's the government sanctioned lottery...

No one elected these people so why is it they are making rules that affect all of us rather than just keeping the peace which is

what they started out as doing?

Do they actually have any right to make laws even though they WERE NOT elected by the people that these laws affect?

Yes…absolutely…it’s about time the authorities crack down on this foul perversion.

But registering dartboards is not enough. Effective immediately, all team and individual sports must be eliminated. All athletic competition (to include football, boxing, basketball, track and field events) must be forbidden. The government should also ban snooker, board games, bowling, playing cards, coin-tossing, scrabble, the National Lottery, cockfights and any competitive activity where someone might profit by winning . Scofflaws must be punished severely.

The very security of the nation is at stake.

register all televisions to prevent gambling.

For a "lose face" country such as Thailand, no one seems to be afraid of doing stupid things publicly.

What is the connection between dartboards and gambling?

Yup register TVs to prevent betting on football, muay thai, cock fighting, Set betting and thai soapies.

What's next? Registering your Facebook account with these clowns?
