For the first 20 years I came to Thailand I swore they were the most beautiful women around.

   Now I am old I realize why I thought that

  Back then the women were slim,submissive ,petite and well groomed..

   Now i realize I never seldom looked at them above the neck line. It was all beautiful body and they did have beautiful bodies.

  Now I  am older and look at the whole package. Their facial features can be not quite up to being beautiful. Not bad but not knock out pretty.

   So the myth is a myth in my eyes.

So taking the available sex (aka prostitution) part aside, which is pretty evident here, just read the juvenile posts. 

 

I've said this before, but it really comes down to some basic evolunary issue as to whether or not you are attracted to Asians.

 

If you do, they tend to all be beautiful, be they Thai, Japanese, Indonesian, Malaysian, Chinese or whatever

Women who have big jobs.  Little ladies large equipment.  Thai's why I'm drawn to Thailand.  Forty-nine per cent of CEOs in Thailand are women, which is the highest proportion in the world.  This is far above the global ratio of 24 per cent of senior management roles filled by women.

if your successful, handsome and rich with all the toys, that sort of person will be swimming in a different pool to the normal bums with no money or future whether here or anywhere else in the world.

When I see posts like this it often seems, to me, at least, that they are more about distancing the poster from other, perhaps, undesirable expats than asking a serious question or making a point.

I wonder if it is unique to Thailand expats that a kinda of p******g contest has replaced dialogue?

Next comes the passive aggressive quips aimed at those undesirable farangs again who "pay for it because they can"t get a European girl".

 

There always seem to emerge a sense in which posters are asserting their superiority over those reprehensible sex-pats. 

 

I simply can"t imagine why one would live and date in a country where one finds the women repugnant.

Wow. So sorry to hear. I think Thailand has one of the highest ratios of stunners in the world. And what makes them even more beautiful is their ability to manifest the dignity within femininity, and their comfort level with being women. They just wear their womanhood in a way that puts most American women to shame. From what I am told, to some extent this lack of comfort with their femininity applies to some European women too, and nearly every Russian woman. Many Russian women use their femininity as a weapon. 

 

I guess I am fortunate, in that I love the more natural looking Thai women, and alot of the "tribal" looking women are something I find quite stunning. But, I do not go for the classic beauty at all.

In my much much much younger days, I lived with a Sri Lankan, well ethnically at least. From Brooklyn of Sri Lankan immigrant parents.

 

She was probably the most gorgeous, sexy, yet infuriating woman I have ever known.

 

We fought like cats and dogs, in a very intense 24 month relationship.

 

In a curious twist of fate however, we probably talk on the phone couple of times a week, primarily so she can rail on her current husband!
