The pickup is on the correct side of the road which would seem to indicate that the motorcycle was not

My thought also but then why run? Was he going at speed and rammed them in the rear?

The pickup truck, heading in the opposite direction, was trying to overtake another vehicle. The pickup truck hit the motorbike head on.

The pickup truck driver, later identified as 22 year old Teeraphon Rodrung, sped away from the scene.

No excuse at all, it's called sh****tty driving with SH******tty attitude with zero regards of human life.

Witnesses say they were heading from their college in Krabi to Khao Panom.  The pickup truck, heading in the opposite direction, was trying to overtake another vehicle. The pickup truck hit the motorbike head on.

So, how could the pickup end up in the line going the same direction as the motorbike?

You need to question the witnesses

The Pickup also spun and ended up appearing as if it was on the correct side of the road?

No rubber marks on the road.

Yes the only sensible conclusion if the witnesses where correct when they said they came from opposite directions

Maybe out of shot

Perhaps, but the impact was where the car is situated. Can't see anything on the road that suggests a spin.

A bit of imagination would say it spun 180 degrees after the collision!!

Well. if you look at the pic, it'll show you that the collision happened where the car is. Unless the driver collected the missing parts from the car and sprinkled them out in front of his car before fleeing the scene.

It was a head on so the car stopped pretty quickly don't you think if that's where the impact took place

Yes lots of debris around I admit, just musing

Why don't you read the link?

Couldn't do that as 'something went wrong...try again later' come up. But was able to read it this morning. Wonder why the OP left that important bit out. Oh well.

Bit of a casual understatement there...it's wrecked. Must have been going very fast. Really is high time too that the cops start clamping down hard on this fleeing the scene BS...serious offense and it is well known why it often happens.

Swerving, driving on after the impact, kinetic energy?

"...the impact was where the car is situated".

How do you know that?  And very unlikely, physics, you know.
