Police are hunting for a gang of vandals who spray painted the Tha Pae Gate in Chiang Mai.

The incident, which was caught on CCTV, happened around 4am on Thursday morning.

Images shared by Chiang Mai based Happy Radio 98.5FM showed the words “Scousse Lee B” spray painted on the wall.

Police have vowed to track down the culprits, who are believed to be foreigners.

More info as we get it.

One would think. It wouldn't be too difficult to locate Lee from Manchester from immigration records or hotel registers.

Perhaps he ran out of spray paint? These vandals should be dealt with harshly.

wonder where he nicked the spray paint from ( joke ???? )

Leave your name on a wall, you're still a nothing nobody.

I hope Lee soon sees the inside of a Thai prison ... what a <deleted>.

Well, DUH!

Is Lee not a predominantly Chinese name? The scouse bit is to throw the hounds off. Lee Bing is my guess!

Everything about that sentence requires it.

Not reknowned for their intelligence generally,of course could have been a Manc trying to get a scouser in trouble.

Sent a link too the Liverpool Echo. Can't be many Lee B's in Thailand and even fewer in Chaing Mai. Really cannot understand the mentality of someone travelling from England to the north of Thailand just to carry out some mindless vandalism. Hopefully the Echo and other news outlets will publicize this and the Muppet (no offense muppets) responsible will be caught.

They will say that it wasnt his fault and he is the victim in all this

Definitely from Liverpool. Who else would admit being from there, or more to the point then put it on a wall? Most likely his first name. Shouldn't be too difficult to find him. TM30 forms.
