Thanks but I am still curious - how do they know what the ATM charge is? The ATM charge comes out of your transfer from your overseas bank account. There is not two transfers - or is there. When did you last do it?
So the insurance company only covers the operation and a symbolic sum for lenses (4000 Baht per eye). This means I'll have to pay roughly 85k out of pocket.
We went to Payathai Sriracha and spoke to an ophthalmologist there and she said that while they might be able to do the operation slightly cheaper the lenses are imported and would come at the same price as BPH.
OK, thanks for that. I think that on that basis I'm in the clear for this round and won't need to worry about getting a new p/p till Aug/Sep next year.
