Hi ,

my Non B Visa will expire in next June 2019  but company dismissal me today .

I can live in Thailand till next June ? or I must leave Thailand soon !

Thanks

I assume you have a one year extension of stay based upon working issued by immigration not a valid multiple entry non-b visa.

An extension of stay ends on the day your job ends. You need to leave the country on that day or before.

Why did they dismiss you?

It's an important question, not just being nosey.

Possibly true. I am a bit curious about whether a claim for wrongful dismissal, supported by the labour department, could actually keep the extension of stay on the basis of working valid until the case is resolved. Has anyone ever heard of something like that?

Never heard of that myself, but who knows how many rules etc exist that expats working here are never made aware of.

No they can’t.

I guess a big part of the question is if the company will report right away that they dismissed you.

If you think that is the case then better sort this out ASAP.

If nobody reports it then I guess nothing will happen anytime soon.

Just remember that you are in trouble if you want to stay in Thailand long term and you are here illegally for too long.
