Pictures posted on social media showed a desperate Thai family down on their luck near a police booth in Saraburi.

Mum had broken her arm in a motorcycle accident and both she and her husband had lost their jobs.

Their two year old child was sleeping on the ground and had not eaten for two days.

Poh Teck Tung foundation worker Suwat Suksanong, 30, said he had come across the pitiful scene when out riding his motorcycle and had gone to a shop and bought food and milk for the small child.

His post caused social services in Saraburi in central Thailand to swing into action and the child is now in care.

Police have managed to find employment for the parents after taking them in for a chat, reported Thai Rath.

A heartwarming story. and best wishes for a, hopefully, better future ahead.

Best wishes for them, I thought there were no jobless people in Thailand?

Good on him for doing that. Many people on this forum love to bash the locals, but this shows the genuine heart so many of them have. Homelessness is a tragedy that hits people all over the world, but it is good to know that some people care about such people everywhere. I hope the family can now begin to get back on their feet again.

Hardly ever you such a sight of a destitute Thai family, mostly you see the likes of Burmese or Cambodian beggars with rented babies on arms, hopefully they will find a suitable solution to their plight and live normally again soon...

This kind of thing is all too common in Thailand.

But this is a Government that really does not care much for people, only personal gain and tanks

Well done the Guy that got the food for the child, a man with a big heart.

Good job all around. Despite what we are constantly told by many quarters we are tricked without each other.

... queue the naysayer and Thai slanderers on TV

I feel disgust when rich thai give fruit to a wooden statue but never to a person in need

You don't mean to say that any if the governments before, or for that matter any government all over the world does care for the people?

Wake up!
