Sitting in mom's house, in your "childhood" room, eating cheap takeaway mid-winter in England. After 10 years in Thailand.

Come close to the monitor. I am going to reach out through the internet and give you a hug.

Agreed. I don't like the idea of the government knowing where and how I spend my money. I prefer to pay cash whenever possible. If they go to a cashless society, then like the internet, they can just

And washed down with four cans of ASDA pilsner . (£ 3.38 per four pack)

Did I mention that I bought myself a webcam for Christmas ?

Think that I'll drink the beers and then give my female friend in Thailand a late night call

Nothing wrong with that .

I am quite happy and content to go to ASDA and buy a meal for two for £ 1.19, reduced from £ 4.75  and then going home and having the meal for two on my own

  Whats wrong with that ?

Chicken Korma

Chicken tikka Masala

Pilau rice

Naam brad and onion Bhajis and I dont have to share it with anyone.

I’ve bought those in ASDA , they are good value, but I’m sure I paid £6 .

Why were they reduced to £1.19 ??

To prove that I have forgiven my gourmet friend for trying to bait me into mentioning The Unmentionable, I would like to dedicate a song to him.

Best before date is today .

Even though they stay edible for a week or two after, its still "best before"  date , which it just means what it says on the tin , best before .................but still OK after

Okay, yup, I would buy those again, didn’t care much for the onion bhajis but the rest was excellent.

But how much is your council tax, petrol, water and other utilities? I looked at buying somewhere back home this year but the council tax was over 150 quid a month and the water 40. Food is cheap, but the overheads more than make up for it.

I run into the same thing looking at the us...there are several hundred in expenses that you don't get here...property taxes, water sewer, and outrageous Telecom bills..all before you've taken your first sip of bargain priced wine and steak.

Living life to the Max - discount Asda food, cold weather, a drunken 'webcam session' .....what more could a man want?

I am quite liking the colder weather , its really not a chore to wear clothes to keep warm . And why not buy discounted food ?

I did have a webcam session with my female friend in Thailand , showed her around my house and generally just said hello .

   Thats what friends do .

Ok Max, keep your hair on: I'm teasing you.

Btw, what's the temperature at the moment?

Here, oop norf, it's a chilly 19°C.

Probably between 5-10 degrees outside , I,m not the kind of person that needs the sun to keep them warm , I can get some clothes to keep me warm when I go outside .

Wearing trousers and a jacket isnt beyond my capabilities .

A slight inconvenience having to keep warm, bit I can cope with that .

BTW, didnt they have snow or sleet up north in Chiang rai last week ?

Anyway , nice to walk around without having to go to 7/11 to chill out a bit in the 40 C summer heat

Been back and forth a few times too and the culture shock is always the biggest hit. Kinda like as soon as you land and see all the cows walking around.

I'm dreaming of getting back home back to civilisation and family and friends and clean air and stuff that generally works. I promise not to moan when occasionally someone is a bit rude on the roads.  Oh and brilliant live music by amazing talented innovative musicians. Theatres , festivals ,comedy , freedom to say and write what you want and the coming spring and Europe on my doorstep.

No, I dont look at females and their body shapes , eyeing them up for a sexual conquest .

I have seen naked females before, its no big deal to me .

There is so much more to life, rather than females looks and body shapes
