It's gambling with one's life, traveling on a bus here.

I opened this thread half expecting to see that a safari truck had turned over, after a convoy of SIX (fully laden 4x4s, each with passengers on the ROOF) passed me on a narrow mountain road elsewhere in the Kingdom this afternoon.

Obviously you have never driven here in the wet season with a torrential downpour. Slow down to 20kph.

I've said this before and do think about it from time to time. If the Thais actually had Winters with snow and ice, and dread to think of the stats

They don't.  You think too mutt

Hey there is a bunch of injured people in the hospital due to no fault of their own.  Let's make dumb jokes about it. Hahaha.

Agree,  some tourists injured but five pages of Thai bashing follows.  It must be Saturday.

They seem to have scared the Chinese away, now they are focusing on Italians:wink:

Haha - but can you imagine the sycophantic response to this if they were Chinese?

This is nothing new....fully expected in Thailand.  Look at all the TVF history or crashes and one will see this is normal here.

Was all this included in the price of the ticket, or do I have to pay more for the extras ?

more quality thai driving ,when will they taught to drive ?????

Thai joke

My grandfather was bus diver he died peacefully in his sleep unlike his passengers who died screaming in terror

The local drivers 'just don't get it'...no respect for other drivers, road users, passengers and dare I say it - the highway code.

"She die. Welcome to Thailand. Sorry Royal Palace closed today. But I can take you on river boat and do TM30 for you. 1500 baht."

And you can wait until the next traffic accident involving tourists and poke fun at that again. Don't worry, their will be an accident again when people are injured and you will will be able to get your comments chuckled at.

That's the point of it being a forum.

Differing ideas and points of view, including yours to criticise someone else's because you don't agree with them.

So, were they following an accident or were they part of an accident?

No fog? You have obviously not driven between Chiang Mai and Lampang during the early morning hours in the Winter months.

I would not take any small silver van of death or any big bus other than Green Bus.

Which would not be a bad thing if you ask me. Natural selection at its best.

The only transport i use in this godforsaken land is plane, BTS, MRT and.... my legs. The rest is gambling with my life...
