Thank you very much)))))  I will check those hotels prices, hopefully they're reasonable, like under $50 a night

Like under $50 a night, are you for real? Bangkok? Nice hotel?

not happening! There are places, but for elderly people, I would up my budget a little more. Bangkok ain't cheap.

Please ask them to bring 3M™ N95 Respirators And Do Not forget about medical insurance.

First time in TH,  I just want them to have good memories. Hopefully there are interesting daily excursions from BKk?

Bang Saen is a good base, quite a bit within easy striking distance.

Old village and magnificent Chinese temple at Ang Sila.

Monkey mountain and aquarium at Bang Saen. Evening market on the front at weekends.

Temple on Koh Loy at Sri Ratcha but not sure if the turtle conservation is still there. Also a ferry from Koh Loy across to Koh Si Chang.

Further south there is the crocodile farm/park and a new dolphin centre nearby.

A bit further on there is Nong Nooch and the Buddha on the mountain/vineyard.
