Enjoying Unsolved Mysteries--I think that was a will27 reco.

Found you can go back and download previous years, still lots of seeds........ Rarbg

Amazing the amount of people in steady jobs married etc....who can suddenly disappear.

----------------------------

Just finished White Light--- Oz production, they put someone (a documentarian, - George Gittoes-who had been in Afghanistan, the Congo and Iraq,) in Chicago for 18 months. The South Side of Chicago is now called 'Chiraq' by the locals, because more people get shot there than American soldiers did in the Iraq war.

Its a year old when I read about it---so you may find it hard to get.

For those interested in that part of the world.......The Trial of Alex Salmond (17 August 2020)

In March 2020, Scotland’s former first minister Alex Salmond emerges from the High Court in Edinburgh, charged with 14 cases of sexual misconduct

The verdict concludes one of the most dramatic trials Britain has ever seen.

Throughout the film, They look back at Alex Salmond’s political career and examines the growing rift between him and his former protege, Nicola Sturgeon. As Salmond prepares to take the stand, these divisions come to the fore, and some of his allies allege that there is a conspiracy at the heart of the Scottish government to stop Salmond returning to politics.

Just downloading the old 1971 Vanishing Point. Have not seen it for ages. Loved the movie when I was young. See how I feel now about it.

Thanks.

I haven't seen it since it was in the cinema in the UK in the late seventies. I'm going to watch again too.

Yesterday, I watched 'Duel' (1971) with Dennis Weaver.

Was meant as a TV-movie, and the first movie directed by Steven Spielberg.

Great action movie and it didn't age a bit.

Could have been made today, and you would only get a feeling that it is almost 50 years old from the 60's style car in the duel between the car and the killer-truck.

Good one, put that on my # To do list # .

Thanks

I don’t know if this rings a bell for anyone, I am just downloading the blue-ray now .. it got released last week.

The woman in black, I always thought it was a BBC, but it’s a Hammer production. It scared the pants off me in the 90s.

It looks great in HD .. I’m also downloading Captain Kronos Vampire Hunter, another awesome Hammer ..

You can watch Kronos in YouTube, just have to put up with the ad’s.

First appeared as a short story in Playboy magazine.

Just watched it---- the usual good BBC Doco, ....I would be real worried if I was a SNP supporter, with Sturgeon , she even help set up a Go fund me page for the 10 women accusers. What was that for---you don't pay anything if the state is prosecuting.

Peep Show Seasons 1-9 available at the usual sites for download. Was one of the funniest Brit sitcoms on TV.

That brings back memories. Really very funny.

Just thinking where I watched it most times. Very likely somewhere offshore in a Control van.

I have to refresh my memories. Thank you.

Watched broken trail, enjoyed it very much. Robert Duvall always excellent.

Before never paid much attention to  the actor Thomas Haden Church, but also very good.

He reminds me of Charles Bronson. I might go for some vigilante movies soon.

Anybody can recommend some vigilante movies?

Since you mentioned him, here some old school kick-ass movies featuring Charles Bronson, which are quite good (of course a bit dated, but better than most of the new flashy blood and gore movies).

- The Evil that Men Do

- Hard Times

- Mr Majestik

- Death Wish 1 (the sequels are trash, although the Bruce Willis remake of the first Death Wish was quite good too)

Maybe check out some other Walter Hill penned/directed films? There are some great ones.

(He directed that Broken Trail TV show.)

After a recommendation on here for  “Human Target “ decided to give it a go !!

Kind of a cross between Equaliser/Person of Interest with a smattering of McGyver .

Episode 1 was okay, episode 2 stretched it to the limit already !!

With 25 episodes already downloaded I’ll persevere but it’s not looking too hopeful.

Okay, so it’s pure escapism and not to be taken too seriously but unless it gets a bit better I’m seriously wondering how it managed 3 seasons.

How did others find it ??

Of course there's The Equaliser and Death Sentence, plus if you want lowbrow there's I Spit On Your Grave.

I watched 3 episodes and thought it was jus OK.

Didn't continue with it.

I know a few people who loved it though.

Each to their own.
