It's amazing that Thailand was the first country outside China who was infected but the numbers are still very low.

Yes something has protected so far the country and the thais

could be the air (The heat, the humidity level or the pollution)

or\and the ''wai'' with no transmission from hand to hand at every shake

The virus mainly spreads by coughing and sneezing.

Perhaps it is the extensive use of masks, particularly N95 masks, Thais have become accustomed to using over the many years of pollution here.

In a bizarre twist of fate, the terrible pollution in Thailand may have saved them from the onslaught of the pandemic!????

Or and am going out on a limb here, maybe the figures are not exactly correct for certain countries...? Or transparant what ever lable you want to use...

So according to the clip Thailand did not go above 50 cases... ????

If your testing system is totally inadequate, then your numbers of infections will necessarily look wonderfully good ...

And if people start dropping dead of assorted pneumonias and other breathing difficulties, then the lack of testing allows you to announce a number of unrelated deaths from eg seasonal flu, or smoking, or even pollution ...

It all depends on how a country records deaths. In the UK everyone who is infected has this mentioned on their death certificate even if they died of something totally unrelated. The Covid 19 disease is spread by infected droplets of water expelled by an infected person. In a climate that is very humid these invisible droplets quickly hit other water droplets and fall to the ground. The virus spreads more easily in dry arid climate plus people who live in cooler climates spend more time inside and live closer together.

You do though have to wonder why Thailand is taking such severe steps when their infection rate is supposedly low.
