I guess it was me and the dogs, but at separate times that ventured outside to enjoy it. BTW. My wife did not but looked with an awe from the front door. Just almost as good. My Kids? Nope!

The rainy season has officially started this year.

My lawn looks green now, the first time in 5 months.

Well I love a rainy night; I love a rainy night.
I love to hear the thunder;
watch the lightning when I lights up the sky.
You know it makes me feel good.
Well, I love a rainy night; it's such a beautiful sight.
Puts a song in this heart of mine;
puts a smile on my face ev'ry time,
'cause I love a rainy night.

I always loved the torrential downpours in LOS ( as long as I was under cover ). At the beach I'd sit on the verandah and watch the view disappear as the rain passed over- so heavy couldn't see more than 100 meters- and reappear.

2 hours after it happened everything dry and the sun blazing down again.

Happy memories.

Torrential rain and a two hour power cut in the night at SanSai.

the power went out here too... seems it goes out every time it rains - - outside of Doi Saket... my first rainy season here... love the rain, not crazy about the outages...

Beautiful clear air and the sharp reduction in traffic (songthaews and tuktuks), means the air will stay good for the whole day into the evening for us city dwellers.

Brilliant.

Oh man it was pure heaven, pure pure heaven. The rain at the beginning on Saturday smelled like smoke. It's another world out there finally finally finally. I could go on but we all know how dearly the rain was missed. Not only for the smoke and the drought, and for the dust and the dirt that has accumulated on everything both inside and outside the house but also for the heat which has been relentless. I could get religious here but, nah. Thanks clouds!

Been here 20 years...wind or rain takes the power out every time...it has never improved from day one

glad the gov solved the air pollution overnight....no need for a committee next year....they have their solution now and hopefully this stops all these foreigners complaining about air pollution

Where ?

Great improvements in Mae Joe and Mae Rim areas,  fewer and shorter outages.

Never known the air to be clear in the few years I have lived here. Looking north..

I think the peak on the right is Chiang Dao which is about 60 km away.
