40 new cases in Yala not yet confirmed

Featured Replies

Thai media are reporting that there are 40 new #COVID19 in Yala. Please note, this has NOT been officially confirmed yet & details are not fully known. Though some seem to be Thais in quarantine after returning from abroad. There should be more details soon #COVID19 #Thailand

yes many on this forum seem to think this virus thing is all wrapped up and we will be back to normal in a few weeks.

Bangkok Governor Aswin Khwanmuang signed an order on Sunday (May 3) for temporary closure of 34 locations that pose a risk for Covid-19 infection until May 31.

Misleading headline. I thought you mean 40 new cases of Singha in Tesco, Yala !

That's really misleading, inaccurate wording on their part, not surprisingly.

It's not 34 locations, but rather, 34 TYPES of locations comprising countless thousands of locations that are supposed to remain closed.

Of the 3 new #COVID19 cases, two are from close contact cases in Bangkok. The third case is someone in quarantine in Narathiwat after returning from abroad. As for the 40 new cases reported by local media, he said these are not confirmed yet. More information tomorrow #Thailand
