Best describe how you feel now that you have alcohol on hand again.

I just feel happy not to be treated like a child by the authorities. If they cannot control a small minority of their own citizens' behaviour then that shouldn't impact the rest of society who might like to be able to have a beer at home.

Already?

I like a beer or two, but the ban really didn't impact me, I just drank a lot more tea.

Let's shift this to The Pub, it is about beer after all.

I was down to basically my last couple of drops and was starting to worry, albeit it I am a social drinker and wouldn't be getting the shakes or withdrawal symptoms, but like to have a drink while watching TV at night before I go to bed as it relaxes me, and is quite enjoyable to have a cold drink with ice after a hot days weather.

Makes me think these "military" guys are tea toddlers and have no concept of the real world, except for the fact that they know that they can't control their own kind because of the lack of law enforcement.

Just look at the appalling road deaths every year, 20,000 plus vs 54 deaths due to a virus, what about how many deaths due to PM2.5 over years of exposure, no country shut downs, but because 54 people died due to Covid-19 they not only shut the country down, they took away something that should not have even been considered.

I mean ok, shut down places where people socialise if you want social distancing, like bars, restaurants, etc, etc, but don't take away what people enjoy at home, and if people get together to drink and don't exercise social distancing because of alcohol, then get your deadbeat police force or the military into gear to round them up, not hard to do, you could start a campaign for people to dial in those non complying social distances via a hotline number, after all you have one for reporting suspect farangs, don't you.

I made sure that I have stocked up for 6 months, because I don't want some ill informed tea toddler taking away my right to having a drink at home.

:burp:????

How do I feel?

I feel annoyed.

Saw random groups of folks drinking together on the street fromm 11 am yesterday, while the thai government decided bangkok wakeparks are still high risk as are swimming pools.

I am not pro alcohol ban, but booze (outside of thai visa members) is a social drug, which encourages what could be called rsiky activity.

Meanwhile healthy individual activity in a controlled environment remains arbitrarily suspended in one area while opened up one province over.

Need some dry ginger ale, not seen it in Issan. Would go well with my Blend 285.

Every day few days I get a couple of tins from Tesco. I cannot drink for medical reasons but I do love a Dry Ginger Ale.

I am happy the prohibition for most has stopped. It is just to me a freedom that is in everybody's hands to enjoy how they see fit. If I was told I could not have my morning coffee, I would be pretty ifed off.

Laughing a lot at the prices the unstranded are now paying again????

Hungover ! but  lucky to have some "hair of the dog treatment" available.

Went to Makro Sattahip this morning and they had  absolutely no beer left at all  only a small amount of  wine, spirits and wine coolers was left

Next door in Big C they had  a bit more choice,  I found 10 cans of my favourite  Cheers Xtra and bought them all  they also had Chang and Singha    but would not sell me a case of Chang as they where to be sold as packs of 3  so had to put the box back and go get 4x3 cartons ( computer said no)

To be honest when the ban was on it didn't bother me until I thought I might run out and places I could get it would run out. ????????

Dont give them ideas, as you know Ale can mean beer they did take Heineken zero of the shelves in 7/11

Of course I'm sure all would agree to expect further alcohol bans so suggest keep stalking all avenues to keep buying stock when seen available

You can get the Schweppes Ginger Ale in Tesco Lotus in Isaan, 16 baht a can and very tasty too.

You must be confused. During alcohol free Buddha days the bars pour the beer in a tea cup, during the ban there was no need to do that at home

Grateful for the opportunity to decide whether or not to have a drink.

I felt.fine.before the ban, felt great during and think they should last the ban three more months. Till all the best and booze was finished in whole Thailand and everyone sober again. To many alcoholics, local and foreign. I had three beers and 1 spy in my fridge before the ban and I still have. So all of you stop drinking every day. Go sober and feed your family or the poor in this time of dispair.
